Remote Controller panel is slow
I spent months waffling on deciding what to replace my atwood with a split tank with. I finally decided on this, being as it was recommended for high altitude use, which i spend most of my time camping over 7,000 ft. Shipping was quick, the heater was well packaged in Styrofoam and plastic. You might think you are missing the control panel, but it is wrapped in its own foam sleeve inside the cover of the heater. Install was fairly simple. I had to slightly enlarge the opening to fit the screw heads on the case. a couple of sharkbite fittings, and 2 flex hoses for the waterlines sized 1/2" mpt/npt. I was able to re-bend my copper propane line, and it screwed right on the the 5/8's UNF gas fitting on the back. I did appreciate the ability to flush mount the controller with the wire going through a grommet in the back of the plastic case. All in all, with the water set at 120*, i used about a coffee pot worth of water before i hit the full 120* at the faucet. the shower was a bit longer. This was put in a slide in truck bed camper, so water line length was minimal. bear in mind the instructions are obviously translated from another language to english , as the sentence structure/ grammar is off, which i wasn't to thrilled about, and there are some missing words, wrong contexts, but if you at all mechanically inclined, and can read, this is an easy install. It really is a bummer that they couldn't create a true english install/user manual. The heater is all 12v power with a hot / ground and 2 wires going to the controller that are inclusive. I did think that the supply wires were pretty small gauged, and could be a gauge or 2 bigger, and perhaps the ability to simply " plug-in" the controller to the heater, rather than solder, crimp and heat shrink the tiny wires together.

Inconsistent temps and constant errors..now control board issues
I had high hopes for this thing, I live full time in my RV and hated the old standard heater which allowed only about 5 minutes of off/on showering. Since there are so few makes of RV tankless, and this one allegedly has mainly high ratings, I decided to give it a chance. But after a few months of use, it has been a mess. The two major problems:Very inconsistent temperatures when running. I have it set to 114, it ramps all the way up to 120-122, then drops to 113, then rollercoasters from 113 down to 104 then back up again. I have a pressure regulator, good pressure, and a showerhead of 1.5gpm. (I am at an altitude of 5900 feet, but the manual and specs claim this unit will work at this elevation.)It has now started to constantly throw errors, "E8" which is wind pressure switch fail. The blower continues to run, but it acts like no combustion air is flowing. If I turn the water off before it beeps three times and turn the water back on, it will reset but then throws the error AGAIN. Every shower now takes at LEAST two resets to complete. On the installation side, the wires to the keypad were prestripped all the way at the outer covering, so I had to cut the end and restrip it correctly to avoid the wires shorting. (If your unit has a non-responding keypad, check that connection to make sure the wires aren't shorted. )For the money, and for all of the claims it makes, this thing is a serious disappointment. I will be contacting Fogatti in the next few days to see what they say about it. I will update this review IF they actually fix these issues (I read a review where a new control board fixed it, hopefully that is all this one needs.) That said, one would think that Fogatti would have these issues sorted out. But the repeat issues with multiple units make me question the quality and reliability of this heater. On the plus side, the installation was pretty easy, but be sure you have the metric to US standard water fittings, despite the manual claiming that the water threads are US standard, they are not.Would I buy this again or recommend this to anyone? As of right now, no way. For the same money I could have gotten a standard tankless unit and adapted it to my use. (I am in a fixed location and won't be moving my RV around.)UPDATE#4 : So, after over TWO HOURS on the phone, first with Fogatti, who was as usual NO HELP WHATSOEVER, then they passed the buck to Amazon, then Amazon (the first rep sent me to a different level of Amazon support, where they claimed that they couldn't "verify my account" with repeated attempts (even though the first level verification went through in seconds), they made excuses and hung up on me. I recalled and the second CS rep couldn't even get me transferred to the next level...so they are trying to avoid this mess. This second rep was very nice, and suggested I email Fogatti which will be my last attempt with them to get this resolved. To be clear, I feel this is NOT Amazon's fault or responsibility, however Amazon does need to take some responsibility and hold Fogatti accountable for their continuing to sell defective products then ignoring the customers.I will keep updating this until I get a heater that actually works, or my refund. Stay tuned.UPDATE #3 Here we are in Sept 2023, and STILL NO RESPONSE from Fogatti. My unit is now have the "short circuit/flickering display" issue that others have reported, it is back to rollercoater temps and multiple random reboots. I have to leave it switched off from power when not in use. I cannot trust it to not short out completely and start a fire.I will be seeking legal council soon and looking at possible action against Fogatti for continuing to sell an obviously seriously flawed product, and it may turn into a class action based the MANY negative reviews I have been reading here.Fogatti Store, if you are reading this: This is your LAST CHANCE to make this right. I want a replacement unit that actually works as it is supposed to shipped to me immediately, or a FULL REFUND. I am tired of your "Customer support" ignoring the issues and failing to fix this mess.UPDATE #2 Well, tech support, which was good, is now living up to its bad reputation. I called on June 1st, spoke to "Victor" who promised to speak to a tech and get either a replacement control board or whole unit sent out to me. I was supposed to get an email within a few days as a follow up. Well it is now June 20,2023 and no board, no replacement heater, and no email. I have downgraded this review to one star, and it would be zero star if possible. In the now extremely unlikely event Fogatti gets their act together and makes this right, I will revise my rating once again. But at this point I am about to demand they take it back, give me a full refund INCLUDING installation costs, and I will buy a regular tankless and make it work for my rv. For the amount of money I have spent on this thing, I could have bought a Takagi or other REPUTABLE brand of standard tankless. (I use hookups full time so it would work a lot better. )UPDATE #1: After a few calls with Fogatti, (who BTW answered fairly quickly and were willing to help) they had me reprogram a few settings which helped a little, but it still is not holding steady temps and instead of errors it now like to reboot randomly whether in use or not. I will try calling and getting them to send out a replacement control board as a last-ditch effort to get this thing to work right. If that resolves the issue I will again update and possibly change the overall rating. If it fails to resolve the issue I will downgrade this to a one star rating.

Perfect for PARK camping
My wife and I replaced our atwood 6 gallon hot water heater on our winnebago RV. Being that it is a motorhome, there was an added coolant line intended to heat water while driving...that had to be bypassed prior to install (nothing on the manufacturer but keep in mind if you have a motorhome)Install was very simple and only required a couple of 1/2" PEX to 1/2" NPT female fittings, and moving the 3/8" propane line brackets slightly.Writing this after using for almost 3 months and it is a blessing! Hot showers as long as you want, great heat to flow ratio and it's hot almost as soon as the pipe water is circulated, plus about 10 seconds. As long as you're connected to city water, this is the ticket! We have also saved a LOT of propane not wasting it to keep a tank hot all day/night. Only using the propane on demand has made 40lbs of propane last what seems like a year, whereas before it lasted 45 days at most. The built on control panel allows you to change top end temp and auto shuts down if there is a pilot flame out, making it safer and more reliable. If you live on tanks often, you may be disappointed with how much water you'll waste to get hot water. It doesn't stay on well with the HW valve less than half flow, meaning you need higher flow just to keep it on. Turning off the valve or shower head to save water doesn't work well either because as soon as it senses less flow, it switches off and begins cool down. Not a water saver, but a propane saver for sure.

Works well, easy installation..
So far….very good. The unit was an exact fit in the spot my old RV water heater occupied. I had an older 6 gallon water heater in my 5th wheel RV. I built a new winter bypass valve system using Pex clamps and new valves and water lines too..(I’m located in a colder climate and bypass is a must) I have noticed that I’m using much less propane that before. I’ve got the remote unit set for 111 degrees. Naturally the water temp at the tap is higher (and quicker) the closer the plumbing is to the heater…the temp at the shower and bathroom is HOT, kitchen sink is cooler due to the distance from the heater itself. I can increase the temperature using the remote control, but there’s really no need. Be aware that it will take more time for the hot water to reach any outlet than it would with a water tank type with pre-heated water sitting in it. (30 seconds to my kitchen sink in the RV, the furthest point) It is not a big deal. I’m very happy with it. I had a long hot shower today that was never possible with the old heater. I hope the unit is durable, and lasts for a while with no issues.

Expensive but worth it
So much better than my 35 year old Suburban 10 gallon. Park has 40psi water pressure which is more than enough. Trailer did not have 12v, only 115v so bought a power supply from Canadian tire meant for a cooler. Amp draw on heater is 2.5A. Half inch water and gas connections, I did not have to modify to install. Simply swap the 90 degree elbows for water, the gas screws right on. The heater is small with the body being approx 13"x13". I did not buy the larger door but re-framed the opening. Install instructions say not to place directly on a combustible surface so stuck a ceramic tile underneath. Control panel wires are fairly long at approx 6ft but power supply wires only about 12 inches. Panel itself does very little, can power unit on/off and change water temp. Panel displays water temp and indicates when heater is on. Heater fired right up after turning on faucet for first time, probably 7 seconds to get hot water at kitchen sink directly above heater. Water heat settings go from 95 to125 deg. Set ours at 110 deg which means we can take a hot shower by just turning on the the hot tap full without mixing any cold. Heater has winter mode which simply turns on heater intermittently to keep water temp above freezing. Heater has built in pressure relief valve with a manual drain located behind door so no need to run drain hose thru floor of trailer. Manual says heater will time-out after 20 minutes continued use, more than enough. Only two complaints are price and the fact that you can't choose which size door you get when you buy heater. Let's see if this one lasts 35 years.

Perfect for my needs
Installed in exact opening of a Suburban 6 gallon. Gets up to temperature within 15 seconds and stays at set temperature. Found that temp would drop if flow was to fast - easy fix is to reduce flow at tap or slow flow at supply into heater. So far have used it for a week and it works perfectly.

Decent
The cold and hot water connections need to be described better online. Based on what I read online, I searched everywhere for brass fittings to suit the unique threads noted here by other buyers and what I could find in the user manual. To make a long story short, I should have ignored everyone including the manual and taken the unit right into a plumbing supply store and got what I needed. Just a basic 1/2” female thread to 1/2” pex. Done. The water temperature coming out of the unit at the LCD screen has never exceeded 116 degrees Fahrenheit. Be forewarned, the unit can be set for 123, but may not ever get to that temperature. 116 is good enough for me, but maybe not for others.Install was easy, and it’s a slick unit despite my issues above.
