This seller represents and ships used product as new.
This digital recorder was purchased for work (state agency) to record board meetings and to assist the board liaison in drafting the meeting minutes. The recorder appeared to be new in manufacturer's packaging. It was not. Our employee opened the packaging and discovered that the recorder had several hour's worth of recorded content featuring several different people. One segment featured some people having dinner in their home. This product was presented by the seller as "new." The shrink-wrapped batteries were dead. Full price was paid to this Amazon seller--consistent with big box retail. Do not purchase from this seller.

Turns off automatically and renders voice activated recording useless
I needed a recorder that was sound activated. This unit has this feature but the unit will automatically turn off and there is no way to turn off this auto feature. It is therefore useless for my purposes.Also, very poor instructions. Just pictures. I think it's best to invest in better quality and higher priced recorders. I have tried 2 low cost options and both are awful and barely adequate.

Annoying beep when it turns on and off
Annoying to use during a meeting as it beeps when it goes on and off. NOT AT ALL CONVENIENT for use in a meeting or any setting where you don't want to be a distraction. Nice product otherwise.

Can't access users manual,can't use features without it. I am returning this item.
The device is fine for recording your voice. I don't like it because the paperwork says there is a full operation guide on the devices internal memory but it doesn't tell you how to access that memory.I can attach it to my computer but can't see any of the files on the device on the computer.
