Mechanical Door Lock MX230B - both Keyless Keypad or Mechanical Key Entry, Water & Heat/Fire Proof, 100% Mechanical, good for Indoor & Outdoor, Black

The MUTEX Mechanical Keyless Lock MX230G-D is very well made. I have had it installed for about a week now and it works flawlessly.However, the Keycode set-up instructions are not easy to follow. I had to have a locksmith and welder work together to fabricate a lockbox due to non availability of a compatible lockbox. Nevertheless, l highly recommend this double-sided model that has a combination of keypad and key on both sides.

I love it. I wish it was a little more simple to change the combination. But no big deal.

This smart lock don't work for a sunroom door

I have the model with an inner and outer combination pad. I don't know if this is normal for all combination locks but the inner and outer combination pads are not connected so you have to punch in the combination twice, once to go in and once to go out. The same is true for the key, you have to unlock the inside and outside separately.I also had to custom make a lock box, the one that was suggested was too short to work with this lock, so make sure to check the dimensions!Other than this, it seems to be a well made lock, we'll see how long it lasts.

Used for door terrible instructions

The lock is great and works as advertised and intended. I don't think you need the double sided keypad (I didn't get that) on any regular door. My special needs were a narrow unit plus a short setback on the latch (very unusual) and I bought this as meeting both requirements. But the 40mm setback shown in the picture is NOT what you get. I received a standard longer setback (60mm) that was NOT what I needed even though it is what most buyers likely need. The seller gave a credit to cover what I needed and I found it on Amazon U.K.. THe seller never fixed that their photo misrepresents the product.
