Does this back pack have the self healing zippers? Are they good quality?

The zippers are AMAZING I PACK my bag and I have never had a zipper fail. I don’t know what self healing zippers are but over never had one fail.

Can the bottom of the bag hold an spare rod?

There is one rod holder on the side of the pack. This sits on the top or bottom when you wear the pack depending on which shoulder you sling the pack over. The rod will then stick out to the left or right at an angle
