Very effective at preventing drafts
I was skeptical because I have tried a ton of products on my very old apartment windows, which has some sizeable gaps. This was super simple to apply...just clean the window seal with alcohol, peel, and stick! The sticky is very strong...I thought I would be able to adjust it but didnt want to break the seal once I saw how well it adhered. The next windy day we had, I could not feel any drafts! And this was by far the cheapest of all the products I've tried. I would give 10 stars if I could.

A trusted seal and brand
I’ve used this for decades fits in a 1/16” gap and will fill a 3/8” gap lasts almost forever stops drafts just clean surface peal and stick easy to cut with scissors

weird but works
i bought this because the foam stuff i bought was a little thick and kinda making the door stick. the door used to have a copper or bronze-like v channel just like this stuff but it is kinda expensive. so i thought maybe this plastic might work. So the instructions are not real useful and i put it on backwards so i have to buy some more. live and learn. However, my door doesn't stick now. what is important about this product is the doubled over product makes a V when the wind hits it stopping the wind or dust from entering the house. this means if u have inward opening doors u put it on the door jam where the door edge hits with the open part of the V facing outside to catch the wind. if u have outward opening doors up have to put it on the door jam lip (next to the inside face of the door) with the open part of the V facing the door jam to catch the wind as it turns the corner. clean them jams with alcohol or something like that and they will stick great. gotta be straight or it will create a wave in the product and not be as effective. i am surprised but it works.

Use this on the hinge side for sure!
I bought this for my old house and it was effective. So this newer house has copper foil weather stripping that is cracking and failing now. This is the same principal without nails and professional (expensive) repair/install. Just clean the surface to be bonded to really well, and you'll be happy too.

Not a straight edge to seal
After installing and then bending the "V" into place, the edge became wavey. That being said, the wavey is not straight and does not seal tight against the door letting in a draft up and down the door edge. This was mentioned in another review. Should have listened to her. This replaced anther "V" I had in for years and that always kept a straight edge from the beginning. Will it straighten out, time will tell. As of this time, I do not recommend.

Seems thinner than I remember
This in the past was an item that was my "go to" weatherization tape. It never seemed to fail me. What I receivedtoday however I have my doubts about. It went on easy enough, as for adhesion, it is to early to tell as this type of tape usually requires a bit of time to fully adhere. My biggest concern is the thinness of this tape. It seems much thinner than in the past and when you fold it in half to form the "V" it does not seem to spring back or hold its shape. After installation between the door and the door stop I stepped back and took a look and saw that the tape was very wavy and not in full contact with all points of the door. Whether this is do to the thinness or a different type of plastic than in the past, I can only guess.

Almost what I expected
It comes in a flat strip that you fold to create the V shape. I'm not sure how long or the staying power of always opening the V back up after compression. I did not trust it would be good for that long term, but I honestly don't know and never will, as I created a way to ensure it always reopened. Therefore, I stuck a small 1/2 wide 1/8 inch think foam insulator strip in the middle of the V and think that combo worked well beyond all my expectation and suspect it will for years to come. Compresses great and always reopens.

What I was looking for.......
I was looking for 3M v-seal tape which I have used before. Since I was not able to find it I tried the Frost King v-seal. It works but the tape is not as flexible as the 3M; but I'm satisfied.
