you can't go wrong with a Pentel pencil
I bought one for my son because he really wanted one because his classmates had cool mechanical pencils. I love the pencil more than him. The color is absolutely beautiful. I love it! Works as smooth as all other Pentel pencils I've bought over the years.

Penal Sharp Mechanical pencil!
This is such a beautiful color and a 0.9 in something other than the typical yellow! This is the size I use most but this is the first I’ve found it in this blue blue/green color! Absolutely love this. Was well worth the wait!

Love Pentel
Have always loved these pencils from pentel … and thought the metallic finish was really nice looking. When I received, my husband was jealous, so I had to order him one too!

Not metal
The pencil works fine and has a good weight and feel to it. I like the color too. However, the description was misleading. It was listed as metal, but only the tip, clip, and eraser cap were metal. The main body was plastic. I wanted a metal pencil, so I likely wouldn't have chosen this one if I had known. It seems a good pencil but is plastic. I haven't had it long enough to rate its durability yet.

Pentel P209 Sharp Mech Pencil 0.9mm Met.Bl.Gr
Of all my Mechanical pencils, this is my favorite. The 0.5 leads break too easily and are too hard, the 0.7 is better but the 0.9 lead is easier to write with, doesn't break as easily and gives a nice written line on paper. There is one lead size larger for general writing but has become almost impossible to find. Of them all the .09 lead size seems a great fit, most comfortable to use, less lead breakage. - Very comfortable because you are not holding the pencil strongly to try not to break the lead or get a dark line. - They are getting more difficult to find folks, as the cheaper pencils are coming onto the market and in particular the 0.9 lead mech pencils are becoming difficult to find. - They are a good buy for a better, more comfortable mech pencil.I do not know the seller nor did I receive any product or payment for my random review.190627 2009

Where was this 40 years ago?
I have literally used Pentel mechanical Pencils for nearly half a century. This one is different in only one regard - color! Traditionally all the Pentels that I have found were color coded to lead size. My 0.5mm are Black, 0.7 are Blue and 0.9 are Ochre(?). That works great until you wish to use a different harness of lead - and find that one pencil again. Certainly the 'different' colored barrels are more expensive and I won't be buying examples of each just because, but to have one designated pencil for my sewing projects, makes my life a little easier. Now if they had made one with a metal barrel that didn't melt in contact with insect repellant, that would have been revolutionary when I was keeping a pack mule out of work doing surveying so many decades ago.
