I have two Australian Cattle Dogs who tear up stuffed toys in five seconds. I was worried they would want to pull the fibers off these and throw them around like dogs do back and forth. That did not happen. They have now stopped scarfing down their food and love these. They are small and easy to wash too. My female uses hers as a pillow after eating so they are soft. They are durable for eating and frequent washing but if my dogs had decided to destroy them- they probably could. They do slip around a bit and I don’t bother with the suction cups but that doesn’t matter to me or them.

The treats might have something to do with that, too. 😉 We use Lucy Treats ripped up into tiny pieces, or kibble, or Etta Says Sit treats, or ripped up fresh cooked chicken. Takes him about 5-10 minutes to get through each time (depending on how much stuff we use!) and he is very thorough! I did put a few pieces under the mat to see if he could tell the difference, and yes, he can. He just pushed the mat aside lolRight out of the box I noted the nice, sturdy quality. Nice, thick strands and doesn’t slide around on the floor much as it is big enough for Murph to stand on with his front paws to root around.Love how this is machine washable, too! Already washed it twice. We did not let it air dry though, because our water is on the hard side and towels, etc that get air dried are stiff and hard, and not in a good way. Just air dried in dryer with some woolen tumble dryer balls, and it was good as new! Or, you can air dry in the nice warm sun. I heard something about the sun doing something to bacteria… 🤷🏻‍♀️We did not buy it for the suction cups, so I can’t really comment on how it worked in conjunction with the mat. I did test one of the cups, and I will say that because our floor has some texture in it, the suction cups did not get “sucky” at all. HOWEVER, I also tried it on our very smooth quartz countertop, just one — and boy did it suck hard LOL Even without screwing the little knob down, it sucked. I just slapped that thing on the surface, and “Suuuck!” If you want an even harder suck, you might try wetting the bottom first… Don’t forget to clean it once in a while to get rid of the dust and dirt that inevitably accumulates…So, recap: good quality… Hard and stiff after washing if not dried… Suck power… wet it before use for best suck… lasts 5-10 minutes……Wait… what was I reviewing again? 😂Riiight —- the snuffle mat!! You dirty birds!!All in all, it’s a great investment if your dog likes treats and fun little activities like this! Would buy again!

Our dog lives this, however, it would be nice if the “grass” pieces were a bit longer. The dog has no complaints though lol

This worked great for our dog when he was a puppy. Helped slow down his eating as well as great training technique. Highly recommend!

My did has bad adhd and can’t stay in one place for more than a second. This has been so helpful now my dog takes a couple minutes to eat and he has a great time looking for the food. The connection to the floor don’t work but I don’t need them anyways.

The media could not be loaded. This snuffle mat is not for long term distraction, my girl is done finding all the hidden pieces of kibble and broken up treats pretty quickly, 5-6 minutes tops. Having said that, she really enjoys it for a few minutes. We use the mat as one of several activities to keep her mentally stimulated, calm and happy. The suction cups it came with were not necessary, the mat stays in place well. I gave 3 stars because of the issue I had after washing it. I put it through the spin cycle multiple times but it held on to so much water I had to hand wring it out which took a lot of effort and time. Did not enjoy that task. My dog took to this easily, though he's had experience with other meal puzzles/toys before. He is about 100 lbs and COULD easily just pick this up and shake it, but he doesn't. We've had it for a few months and it has been through the laundry several times. No damage so far, seems pretty durable. The suction cups don't work on my floor, but my dog doesn't try to "cheat" so it's fine. The mat doesn't slide around without the suction cups, either.

Bought this for our 8 month old GSD/Lab mix puppy. She loves it. I just can't leave it out afraid her puppy chewing would wreck it. Works great to keep her interest. She is food driven. Working on scent training too. Would recommend.
