INTERMATIC Electronic Water Heater Timer, 30 Amps, 240VAC Voltage, Number of Channels: 1

This unit replaced an older Intermatic analog water heater timer. That old analog model was problematic, as the levers that set the timing would come loose and jam the mechanism, thereby causing damage and necessitating replacement. This new unit avoids those problems by using a digital display and control that is clean and effective. I wish this unit had been available sooner.

Horrible installation instructions and digital display is too small to read when programming the unit. I had to research the Internet to find simple, clear directions for the unit.Timer works great though. Replaced my mechanical Intermatic time switch.

This one is even easy for me to set the time on , and off. I have had it for about a month and it has worked great so far . If need be I would buy it again .

If you are on your power company's max saver plan you want to minimize your use of electricity during the designated hours, for us between the hours of 3:00 pm and 8:00 PM Monday to Friday. During that time you do not want to be running your electric water heater. Using this timer it is easy to make sure that it is switched off during that time. It is very simple to set a program to achieve this.

I bought this as a replacement for the mechanical one I have in place now. I haven't installed it yet but I have faith in the product so i am rating it 5 stars. My install is in a laundry room so I don't know about weatherproof but couldn't leave blank and there is no NA choice.
