Update to Outstanding! (Formerly only 3 stars)
UPDATE End of Summer (September) 2011:Just testing my emergency, winter and service equipment for the change in seasons. I'm surprised to find that the Bayco battery has held charge just fine and still works great, even though it has been months and months since its last charge.During these months, it has seen only casual use in locating those small things that go astray in the dark. I suspect the Bayco NiMH battery technology must emphasize durability and retention, rather than power output like a tool NiMH, because those don't retain charge well. But I guess that is what we should expect for something that is certain to be thrown in a trunk, in a toolbox or in a bugout-car bag to be forgotten until an emergency.Kudos, Bayco.UPDATE Blizzard (January) 2011: Own two, haven't used one of them for TWELVE MONTHS. Just needed it in tonights BLIZZARD and dreaded discovering that it wouldn't work. IT WAS OUTSTANDING! GREAT ILLUMINATION, both in the vehicle cabin and underhood. I use a lot of high quality flashlights (Streamlight, Fenix and Olight) in the 280-760 lumen range, so I expected to find this 120 lumen light a bit weak, but it is excellent in my very spoiled eyes.I am ashamed that I only gave this 3 stars originally, and then took SO LONG to update it to FIVE STARS. Sorry, Amazon world.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ORIGINAL 2009 REVIEW: I just bought this (two, actually) and am trying it out. It appears very effective and consistent with its specs, which at $40, it had better be.Hit the switch once and it is a flashlight -- hit it again and it is a worklight -- hit it again to turn it off.Two proper chargers -- 120v and 12v. The rare earth magnet looks like it will be effective. Now, if it just proves durable and if it delivers good battery life! That would earn it a fourth and fifth star. I'm no longer willing to credit a maker for proper performance until they prove it. And I will update this report, awarding any stars which are earned and deducting stars if it fails.

the flashlight was really bright and great for camping
We purchased the older model few years back from O'Reilly's in Oceanside on Mission. the flashlight was really bright and great for camping. The new bright color made it easy to spot in the tent. They upgraded to a two button system which makes it easier to select the shop light feature. This flashlight is able to light up a large area. It made looking for bears at night much easier. We camp near Yosemite which is in bear country. This is a must have for your glove box. This flashlight is rechargeable and came with the wall charging unit and car charger.

Bright flash and flood light
We rely on a good flash light at home and on the road. This replaced one that was taken and has exceeded our expectations. Its recharging station is quick and efficient. The flashlight has a duo function as a headlight and a flood light with led lights that are super bright. It comes with a handy magnetic holder. Bright orange makes it easy to find even in the dark.

Very useful
I have had several of these over the years. This is very bright and I especially find the two different lights very useful (flashlight on the end, floodlight on the side of the body). Highly recommended.

This is the one you want, look no further.
Best all around rechargeable light I could find. Very bright. NiMh battery holds a charge for a long time and can be recharged without having to use until its dead like old NiCd batteries. Very light weight. You WILL love this light!!

Bright and Unattached
I bought this worklight because I do front-end work under cars in dark spaces, where bright focused light is required. I assumed that this worklight would take the place of a corded light that tends to get tangled in chassis components and with air hose. The problem with this Bayco light is the poor quality of the clip-on magnet which is absolutely essential to position the light precisely. This magnet is not nearly strong enough to hold the light in position while using an impact wrench or air hammer. In fact, virtually any slight nudge will dislodge the light. So, while the light is certainly bright enough, it's not useful for the type of mechanical work I do. After all, it IS billed as a WORKlight. The only time the magnet works for me is when I'm charging the light. While there is a wire hook at the top of the light, this feature is useless for under-auto work where light must be focused upward -- not straight ahead. Yes, the flashlight beam would be directed upward when the light is hooked, but the chance of finding a nearby component to attach the hook onto while focusing the beam on a specific work target is slim to none. (And, as they say, Slim is out of town.) I'm hoping that I can increase the strength of the magnet by attaching another magnet of similar size to the back of the existing one. Readers of this sad tale should note that Bayco makes a very similar light (in black) with no clip-on magnet at a considerable savings versus the NSR-2492 - approx. $12 cheaper.
