These are heavy and sturdy. I've handled a hot grate from my charcoal grill and felt no heat at all. I was impressed. They may be made for welding, but they are versatile and good protection.

Good, solid leather gloves for cutting cats' claws. Some loss of fine dexterity, but less blood loss! Great quality for a reasonable price!

These are great gloves, much better than the thin cheap ones that came with our wood stove. They do run very large. My girlfriend and I generally take medium and large respectively (though sometimes I fit a medium better), and we ended up returning the medium and large pair of these to get a small because they were way too big. The small fits us pretty well. If you normally wear small gloves, I don't know what you do as their small will probably be too large for you. The size in the picture is small (and as you can see, they get used). I only gave 4 stars because of sizing. If their sizes were closer to standard, I would have given 5 stars.

This is my second pair and they are an excellent choice. They are workhorses for stacking, carrying and loading wood into a very hot stove. Now I will use the first pair for stacking and carrying wood and the new pair just for loading wood into the wood stove.

Thick, long, and good looking, these gloves do the job. I bought them for firepit use and general bbq cooking. Good buy at a good price.

My dog's bite is very strong. I have 7 pound metal, not plastic, dumbbells that she'll just pick up in her teeth and run around with. She tries so hard to bite gentle when she's roughhousing and it still breaks skin and hurts. And her head speed is ridiculous. I can't even distract her with one hand without her getting the other one. As soon as these showed up we had a 45 minute fight lol She was loving it and it didn't hurt at all You can feel the pressure still but it's not painful and it's definitely not sharp. And these protect my entire arm. It may not be the best habit but she was abused badly and terrified of everything when I got her just 6 weeks ago and now she's so affectionate and loves to roughhouse as her tail doesn't stop wagging. I figure for now It let's her burn some energy when I get home from work and bond and lets me keep my arm in one piece so I couldn't be happier with how well these worked.

Great product, but mistakenly ordered as not fit for the purpose I wanted. Too stiff to be able to grab hot pots and their handles safely. Size is also too big for a woman.
