First Little Readers: Guided Reading Levels K & L (Single-Copy Set)

We love the First little Readers books. We’ve bought the E-H prior to just now getting the I-L books. They are cute and fun stories, the books are great for little hands, and the illustrations are wonderful. Our second grader was struggling with her reading and between these books and the Ello Reading app she has continued to grow more confident and fluent in her reading. Great little books and the reading levels are right on parr. Highly recommend.

I have purchased 4 different ones of these for my beginning reader and I love them. Each set of books is a little more difficult than the last. It makes it really easy to get a bit of extra reading in daily.

I love these little books! I have four grandsons, ages 3 - 8, who are enjoying this entire collection right now! The three year old listens to his older brothers read. The five year old is in level B, the seven year old is on level H and the 8 year old just started this package - level K&L. Some of the stores are retold classics but with a new twist. Some are original. All of them are charming. I really don't mind listening to the boys read every night! Instead, I'm thrilled at how much pleasure they get from these books, and at how their reading is improving. If you have young readers, I highly recommend this collection! Besides the cute stories, the clear simple text, and age-appropriate words, the size is also great. Kids love little books just their size.

We have these books at home for our 4-year-old and 6-year-old, and they’ve made such a difference! Our 6-year-old, who’s in first grade, has flourished with these books and is now well beyond the expected reading level for her grade. Meanwhile, our 4-year-old is starting to build the fundamentals of reading with them. As a parent, I really appreciate the letter-level identification system—it helps me stay aligned with the school’s expectations. These books are a fantastic resource for early readers, and I highly recommend them to any parent!

I’ve been looking for books that are the right level for my early reader. I needed something that wasn’t too challenging that my son gave up, but not too easy as learning new works keeps his love of reading alive! I think I picked the right level for my Grade 1-2 reader. These books are smaller and perfect for little hands!

The best books. Have been getting them for my son from age 6 and now he is 9 and at the last levels and reading so well.
