Q: Aren’t these the ear plugs that came out defective for the military? I used them at MCRD Parris Island when I was a recruit

As a retired military Audiologist, I can assure you there are no better ear plugs on the market. USAF has used them for decades. My first choice. I have a box in the garage now.

Q: how many are in the box?

It depends on how big the box is.....! The pictured box contains 200 pair.

Q: Are these cylindrical or tapered? The photo on the box doesn't match the photo on the pillow pack.

These earplugs not tapered. To place them in your ears you roll one end into a cone shape with your fingers and then slide them into your ears.
