The box is nice and lightweight, and a really good design too. The carving on the top is done with good detail. There is a half circle opening on the front for you to grip the lid to slide out. It has a good interior space, and isn't too shallow to be practical.However, the wood is a little too soft and easily damages. I can see that there are compression and other divots in the wood, which were there at the time of manufacturing because they have been polished over. The lid is thin and wasn't pressed during treatment, or drying, and therefore it bowed and doesn't slide easily, requiring a decent amount of force. The left side is actually cracked along the upper tooth segment that connects to the front. It also looks like the surface of the base is cracked as well, but it's just holding in place due to the pressure of being attached to the sides.This looks like it could be a nice little box, and would look great carefully decorated with acrylic markers or paints. So it's rather unfortunate that the production quality is this bad. I hope they use a better quality, wood and better quality control in the manufacturing process for future revisions.

I got this for my wife who likes to keep cards and other mementos in a box.She likes it, and it fits well on a shelf. The interior is about the size of a ream of regular 8.5x11" paper.Our only concern is that the lid gets a little sticky partway through opening/closing the lid when sliding. Perhaps a little wax would help or some wood oil.Other than this issue, we are satisfied. Although it is certainly pricey for what it is.

It’s not terrible, but it’s not great. Veneer had some warping in areas.

Beautiful design and construction which a handy amount of storage space. The sliding lid does slightly stick when you start pulling it open, but it slides out smoothly by the end. Very happy with it!

The box is good quality and has a subtle yet elegant design that makes perfect for display. It’s a good size for keepsakes (especially papers, letters, photos, etc.) Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase!

I purchased this keepsake box to house mementos of my late father. It is just the right size. Fits on a standard bookshelf and looks great.

This "keepsake box" was disappointing. The lid sticks and doesn't slide open and closed easily. The finish is uneven on the top and looks worn on the top edge where the box opens. There is some tiny splintering inside and what looks to be either glue or stain residue on the interior edges.

Great for photos and keepsakes. Nice. Sturdy.
