Cut my finger badly trying to make these yummy potatoes. A link in a recipe sent me to this. Its perfect for russet potato tiny slices. My potatoes were lovely. I can see how the tines might bend - just take your time and be careful. It is a game changer for making small uniform slices.

A very simple device that does exactly what it says. Makes slicing vegetables and especially potatoes very easy. Not sure of the material of the prongs so to make sure it doesn't rust I hand wash/dry and then spray a light coating of cooking oil on them before storing.

The prongs bend easier then I would like when going into a harder onion/etc. Doesnt allow for as even cuts as I would like, and on softer things it tends to help me mush them more then just using a knife for the same job. But for what I paid for it, plus it working about half the time.. I gave it 3 stars. Not GREAT but not useless.

I like this product (bought it mainly for slicing tomatoes in larger slices) and am rating it 5 stars, but only wish the prongs were longer. Perhaps 2 - 2.5in longer. This would allow the prongs to extend past a larger size tomato and still leave a small gap at the top for the knife (seeing that gap as the guide for knife placement). If I didn't have this, I would definitely buy again. It also comes with a finger guard (altho I personally dont need that). There are several uses for this, but as stated.... I got it to guide me to cut large slices of a tomato (free style without it doesn't work well for me). Hope this helps

Me with tremors...I tho't it would be easier to slide the knife between those prongs, but nope, have to use both hands, and while struggling with that, who's going to hold the tool for me? You see my issue...guess I'll have to find some other way to manage my knife skills.Bev

Great to use however would be so much better if a bit wider with a few more prongs to cater for large onions.
