Most recent updates written at the bottom.Detailed review ahead! I have been doing my own powder dip nails for about 7 months and I have been using Kiara Sky products for most of that time. They are fabulous products once you know how to use them well. The most important tips I have learned are below.1) LOOK UP THE COLOR ONLINE FIRST! This is by far the most important thing I have learned. Many of the colors look very different in real life than the tiny color swatch shown on Amazon or even the Kiara Sky website. I found this out the hard way with a very bright pink color I probably would not buy again! If you look at Kiara Sky's Instagram account or Google Images you can usually tell how the colors actually look when they are on. I have provided pictures of the colors that I own in direct and indirect sunlight for reference. I also highly recommend buying plastic nail sticks to test the color on before you use them on your own nails. They are very cheap and are good for reference when people ask what colors you have.2) Watch YouTube tutorials for tips and take it slow. There are many details that take time to perfect if you are a beginner like I was. Specifically, being careful to not get powder on the skin around the nail or too close to the cuticle is something that you wouldn't necessarily think about at first but makes a huge difference in the overall visual appeal and longevity of the nail. Watching as many videos as you can to get tips about little things like that really helps.3) Build your supplies over time! Buying your own nail supplies is an expensive investment however worth it in the long run in my opinion. There are products you don't need in order to get started that you may want to invest in over time in order to make your manicure look more professional. The three products that I invested in that I believe make the largest difference would be a nail drill, a get top coat, and an LED light. A drill helps both with putting your nails on as well as taking them off. I bought a $20 drill on amazon that came with plenty of attachments as well as a manicure set. This is helpful to drill down your nails before you put your top coat on so they do not become too thick and it helps to get the top coat off when it is time to soak them off. A gel top coat and LED light make a huge difference in the overall appearance and is one of the things I most highly recommend investing in when you have the money. They ensure your manicure has a beautiful shine which lasts for weeks. I bought the Sparkle and Co. top coat and the SUNUV nail lamp and love them both.In short, Kiara Sky products are very well made and I would highly recommend them! They take some time to perfect but overall they are wonderful.UPDATE 3/25/2020: It has now been over a year and a half that I have been using Kiara Sky products to do my own nails at home. I can truly say that you only get better at doing your nails with this product over time. The more you practice, the better your nails look. My nails now look consistently professional and I get compliments all the time. I have also started doing my family’s and friends nails when I have time to save them money. My mother used to go to the salon every three weeks and has not gone in over a year since I do them for her now. The startup cost can be high- however given the time that I have used this kit, I have no doubt saved hundreds of dollars for both myself and my family by doing them at home rather than going to a salon every two/three weeks. These nails also stay on 3+ weeks which makes them low maintenance.I have added new pictures of colors I have purchased since my initial review. On these new colors you can see a number written in sharpie on the bottom of the container. I use these numbers to match the container with the plastic sample stick. I highly recommend doing some kind of system like this if you do end up buying colors which are similar to one another so that you can tell them apart.Overall- I still love them! Don’t give up if you are still learning, you will get better!

I love kiara products. I've been using the gelly tip system for over a year and recently started using their dip products for added strength and color. I needed a nice, deep wine/maroon tone for my wedding in a couple weeks so I ordered this.It came in a package with multiple other items I had ordered. Idk what happened but the powder got all over almost everything in the box. But the lid was on so I'm not sure how the product got out. Or maybe it was stored with another jar that had busted and amazon didn't bother cleaning it before packaging it for shipment? Either way, I'm lucky it didn't get all over my fiancé's white tie or my reception dress that were in the same box. (It did get all over the bag my dress came in which is whats pictured, and a box with some cosmetics in it.) The powder was all over everything that came in the same package. I cleaned the jar with a cotton pad and some acetone but couldn't get it all off of the jar. It also left a slight red/pink stain on my fingers until I showered. But the jar didn't seem like it was missing powder.I did make a small dot on top of the container so I can see what the color looks like once applied. It's a beautiful deep almost wine color and is perfect for what I need. I can't wait to use it.I would recommend this color and the kiara dip powders. I'd also recommend Amazon do a better job of storing their stock and requiring items not be covered in mess when packing to ship.

This review is for cocoa coral Kiara Sky dip powder. I love the Kiara Sky dip powders. I have probably 12 different shades from this brand. Half the time the color is slightly different from what you see online. I’m not sure I can say this one was too different, I just think the name was misleading a bit. The color is more reddish/orange than coral. However, I still gave 5 stars because coral is subjective. I personally didn’t like the color. I’m not going to return it, I may use it again as a pedi option, but it will never be a go to for a mani. I used nail tips with this set of nails. I did one center stripe coat where the tip met my natural nail, two more coats over the full nail tip and just slightly over onto my natural nail. This gives me extra strength at the apex to prevent breakage. I also had issues with my nails breaking right at the point where the tip met my natural nail. This helps with that. I’ve seen tricks where some place the nail tip futher down the natural nail as well. This also helps me a lot. I have three little ones so being easy on my nails isn’t an option. I then do two full nail coats with the color & one full dip with clear. I use my drill to shave down some of the bulk on the free edge, but the rest of the nail isn’t too bulky. I’ve found that number of coats gives me a manicure that lasts 3-4 weeks. I know some don’t like their nails to last that long, but the nail dip process is time consuming. Once every 3-4 weeks is plenty often for me. I’m not a professional, as I’m sure you can tell by the photo, I just like to save a little money from going to the salon & still have my nails look nice.

The product works as intended and arrived as described (brand new), but the image colour (compared to the colour received) is vastly different. This colour is more a very dark purple/plum colour. It appears to be a bright purple in the container, but when applied is very dark. Tip: Google image the colour of the dip power prior to purchase.

New to using dip powders - but of all the brands I have found, this is so smooth and easy to work with!!! So pretty and ladies - in the sun it just glitters! You won’t be disappointed.

Honestly the price for the size not really worth it when you can get it off the kiara sky website for 14$. But it is a very good product and pretty colour. Needed a good nude.

This is a gorgeous colour, I’ve gotten tons of compliments on it. Also super finely milled and easy to apply. I was also impressed at the amount of powder you get. I did 3 coats on each finger, and my mom’s as well, and you can barely tell that I’ve used it. I did 3 coats but you can definitely get away with 2. It’s been a week and there are no chips or scuffs. I’m really impressed!
