Worth the money
Great toilet, easy to set up and very comfortable. Battery stays charged a long long time! Refill cartridges are pricey, but we don’t flush every time. I know that is TMI, but it IS a dry flush and it has been a great addition to the dry cabin. No smell! Easy disposal, too. Great company!

No more black water dumping. No more poo smell.
If you hate black tank duty you will love this toilet! Never touch any icky anywhere. It’s a little pricey with the replacement cartridges but not as many dumping station fees, only gray water dump. More freshwater for showers and washer if you have one. We have used this for several months now and still have not had to recharge battery. We had our RVs original black water tank toilet replaced with this Laveo Dry flush. Took it to RV custom dealer. It is permanently installed. Fair warning it sits higher than the original because the original toilet was raised up about 5-7 inches above bathroom floor level so I have to use a stool but hubby is tall and no problem for him. We have 2024 Thor Quantum KW29. Electrical outlet right next to toilet makes recharging the dry flush toilet convenient. As far as disposal of used cartridge pet waste disposal containers are everywhere. We take the cardboard rim off bag (very easy removal) the rest is no different than your doggie poopie bags or puppy pads. Most gas stations and rest areas have these locations. There is literally no poo or icky to touch. To extend #of uses we flush if something serious is in there. However just liquid is absorbed with the crystals that are suggested to use. And for the really conservative user. Paper used to wipe liquids can be stored in a ziplock. We did this with black tank toilet also to avoid the pyramid effect in the RV black tank. Properly installing replacement cartridge is essential to avoid problems. I do double bag by placing extra bag in the toilet receptacle just in case the cartridge has any defects. I have not had any issues that required that extra bag yet so I just leave that bag in the toilet receptacle. Using the crystals that come with the laveo dry flush toilet are essential to keep liquid and odor absorbed. Even without flushing liquid every time there is no odor. We absolutely hate dealing with the black tank duty of owning an RV. This is a total game changer for us. We are older and really appreciate the convenience of this toilet.

Works! Expensive refills!
Update: I got it to work without having to manually rotate the bag! Using this involved a small learning curve, though. At first I used it every time I needed to go, but I soon realized that I'd run out of space long before the bag ran out of flushes. The best way to use this, for me, is as a night toilet so I don't have to go outside in the dark. Otherwise, I go in nature or use restrooms when I'm in town. That ensures that the bag doesn't need to be replaced before it's done, which is important because where this company actually makes its money is those $*&%ing refills. I imagine they're patented, so there won't be off-brand versions at a reasonable price for many years. I'm going to work on a DIY version so it doesn't cost me nearly $2 every time I flush because that's absolutely ridiculous. Once I figure that out, this toilet will be perfect! Original: I have to manually rotate the bag insert to twist it, otherwise the bag puffs up and then just goes back down without covering anything. As long as I twist the liner a full 360°, the waste gets covered properly and no smell. Some folks complain that the flush button is too sensitive, and it is very sensitive, so maybe the fact that I have to manually rotate the bag will save me some accidental flushes? I'm okay with having to move it around by hand - it's still better than a stinky chemical toilet!

Simple to use, easy connect AC power, no smell
Bought this to replace a compost toilet that came with our pre-owned tiny house. It is our small vacation home in the mountain so granted it is expensive for its frequency of usage but it is really worth it to us mainly due to the convenience and effectiveness of smell control. We left it not used for 6 month over the past winter season due to living abroad and still no issue with the smell. Note using the Pee Powder , ie gel up the liquid wastes really help with less number of flush. I also use a blend of baking soda and diatomaceous earth as “poo powder” to help reduce smell and dry out the poo. It all work out well.

Convenient and works well
I use this at a cabin with no power or water. Any smells are contained and emptying is not unsightly. The battery holds a charge for a long time. Only downside is the cost of replacement cartridges for the bags. I purchased at bulk and it's approximately $2 a use.

Dry tent camping game changer.
Dry tent camping is no longer a messy and embarrassing problem. Great to have in case of emergencies too. 4 stars due to cost and availability of cartridges.

Multiple Uses - Home, Elderly, Camping, Boats...
First, I would like to describe my consumer style – if I am in need of an item, I am not buying it unless I see clear evidence that it has multiple uses - current and future. I am a really hard sell on ANYTHING that I do not believe in and clearly this is my opinion but, the Laveo Dry-Flush is an amazing product that not only provides use for me now but in the future. I purchased my new home and as we all know, if you are not buying new construction, you are most likely going to have some renovations. Well, I bought a beautifully sound home but with ancient bathrooms, yes both bathrooms. I needed for obvious reasons a toilet for workers as well as myself and that’s where the Laveo Dry Flush came into play. It is wonderful! I simply took it out of the box, watched a variety of tutorials on their website and it was done. I am a single woman so I did not want an item that required a lot of lifting or hassle. This item is so convenient and remember as I said above, I always buy (or try to) an item that has other uses? Well, after the construction is complete, this same toilet will remain in my family for use if my elderly parents need it in their bedroom, for future camping trips with my great-niece and nephew and if the future holds a boat for me, whoa, it would be amazing on it! A true quality made product that has many uses – a win-win if you ask me!
