This shield is great, got it for my 5 year old to accompany a knight costume. It is made of a flexible foam-like material, but is very sturdy while also being soft and pliable enough not to pose a safety hazard to little ones. The design on the front is not just painted on like some shields are, but is textured and more of a “3D” design. Overall great quality, well made, and my son loves it!

Only thing I would change is to make the straps adjustable.

Have to say, this was much better quality than I was expecting. Durable and well made. We used it for a costume night and the kids have been playing with it ever since and it still looks great.

I gave it 3 stars because the chemical odor of the material it's made of gave me a headache. I placed it in front of a fan to see if that would lessen the odor and it did help.

Very nice looking and rather sturdy. on the smaller side. purchased to sword fight my friend, he bought a different shield for around the same price. his broke within 25 minutes of playing ( we're in our mid- twenties ) mine held strong. he now has ordered this shield and i will update on how it holds up in a few weeks.
