Merrell Men's Moab 2 Vent Mid Hiking Boot

Short story: I love them. Light weight. They feel great right out of box. Great traction. Toe box excellent size to allow swelling of feet on long hikes.Long Story: read the reviews and ratings about these boots. Since there were hundreds of great reviews and ratings I bought these with high expectations.My background I adventure, backpack, and I am a 14er peak bagger. I expect much from my boots. I bought these boots 4 days before a backpacking trip to grab another peak in the Eastern Sierra's. Out of the box they felt comfortable with the perfect amount of cushion. Immediately felt that the toe box had ample room for feet swelling, without being overkill, on good hikes. I wore them all day the next four days before the big hike. I noticed they felt very light weight for their size. The boots had great flex feeling like they were broken in already.When it came time for my trip I brought extra moleskin anticipating blister galore but none were needed! Had a 40lb pack headed out to some high country lakes. The hike out i didn't even give them attention because I had no pain, no hot spots/ blisters, and did not feel heavy boots when stepping. We spent a few days hiking and exploring the immediate area. Stepped in a creek with water that covered the toe box. Removed my foot from the water just as quickly as I stepped in knowing they are not water proof. Somehow no water got in. Last day we climbed up to Mount Langley and hiked out back to the car. Langley has an abundance of scree along steep routes with some boulders you can scramble over. I had excellent traction allowing for great forward progress and very minimal sliding. Scrambled across rocks with confidence. After the summit we headed back to camp and packed up the rest of our gear and hiked back to the car. Our crew is competitive so we hike quick and hard. I Fully expected these boots to start to cause issues now that I have a full pack on and spent the morning peak grabbing. Continued performance was what I was met with. So impressed I committed to writing a review as soon as we got back to cell coverage.

No break in needed with these Merrell hiking boots. Fantastic for wear and terrific arch support. These boots will stand up for any challenging hike, and comfortable. These are excellent boots that will provide the necessary care for your feet, for miles.

My first pair of these boots lasted 4 years, through lots of tough trails & terrain. I still wear them, but when I saw the same style on sale I bought another pair without hesitation. They are very well-made, fit is perfect, great tread on the soles. Cute color combo of olive & black with purple laces! I did add Soft Soles inserts for extra arch support. Super satisfied with this purchase.

The reviews were mixed on these, but i decided to buy them because i needed a pair of good hiking boots. Ive been wearing Merrell barefoot and zero-drop sneakers for years now and thats a testament to the quality. These are a nice looking pair of boots. When it comes to fit, i may not be well-versed but they felt a little bigger than my normal 11.5. However, after wearing them for bit, as you wolk your feet swell slightly so rather than squeezing the foot and causing all kinds of problems, your foot adjusts for a nice comfotrable fit. The heel cup pretty fitting, this helps ensure less movement front to back and better grip. I cant attest to their albilty to resist water, I'll update when i do. Im a bit skeptical aboutt he nylon eyelets, i had an expensive pair of columbia bugaboo boots and every one of the nylon lace guides broke (because of cheap materials). But ao far they seem to be the complete package: good fit, good traction, nice look, and hopefully quality made. For now im gicing them four stars. If they save my ankles, toes, and feet, theyll get a better rating.

I just love these hiking boots. Very light in weight, super tough in quality. I do 10 hour hikes through the mountains - taking me 6 miles deep into the wilderness (12 miles round trip). They are water resistant - very comfortable to wear. Love the color and they can take a beating - through some of the toughest terrain. After about 10 hours, my ankles will get tired BUT these boots keep your ankles secure from fatigue. I will always purchase Merrell from now on, as these are my first ones - to which there is no other to compare to.

Insanely comfortable. Great quality. Grippy as hell. Merrill is the best for the money. Huge fan!

Very very light boot. I thought one boot was missing from the box when the parcel arrived. haven't tested it on long hikes but the boot looks like it can endure a lot of heavy usage. I think I will go for one more pair.

These have been used on 6 hiking trips. Very comfortable and supportive. Wicks moisture away but not totally waterproof

En realidad, después de leer algunas reseñas pensé que no me iban a durar mucho, pero hasta ahorita se siguen viendo como nuevas y las uso mínimo 3 días a la semana. Tengo mas de medio año con ellas y siguen siendo muy cómodas y al parecer duraderas.Son muy pocas compañías que hacen las cosas para que duren y al parecer Merrell es una de ellas.

This boot is perfect for my wide feet. Well built and sturdy, yet light and stylish, and comfortable and cool to wear.Merrell size 11E hiking boots and shoes feel like they were custom made for me.

Son muy cómodas en realidad, muy amplias en cuanto su ajuste (las tuve que calzar con plantillas), son pesadas para ser más unos tenis que botas pero aún así no cansan también las hace frescas.En la primer caminada tengo que aceptar me cansaron mucho, no fue mucha distancia pero si el camino castigó constantemente, lo que la dejo con algunos tallones, pero resistió los filos de las piedras.Hasta el momento creo las he ido "moldeando" lo que las han hecho más cómodas, aún así sigo teniendo mis reservas para que sean aptas para senderismo en su totalidad pero para el uso diario son frescas y cómodas (no es el uso que les doy).Si las recomiendo para un uso "combinado" entre el campo y la ciudad (ejemplo estudiantes de geología, geografía, etc)

Super comfy, fit like a glove straight out of the box! Not waterproof but that's not a huge problem - comfort is key and very supportive!

Je poste mon avis après environ deux mois d'utilisation et je peut dire que je suis satisfait de cette paire de chaussures et la marque Merrell (c'est la première paire que je prend de cette marque), je les porte tout les jours et j'ai déjà fait quelques marches avec de plusieurs kilomètres et aucuns soucis, elles sont très confortable et légère.Juste les lacets ont commencé a s'user au bout alors j'ai changer pour des plus solide.En conclusion pour un prix de 44€ c'est une super affaire
