Love that this book explains the science, the variety of uses, and of course, the fun of fireflies.

Educational, good writing and photos. Our toddles often asks for it.

A different more adventurous story for young children. This is a lot more intriguing than other books. Nice contrasting colors in the illustrations

This was a fun book to teach young students about fireflies and a cute story.

We love the Let's Read and Find Out Series. This book is great at explaining the mystery of lightening bugs without being too technical. We used this book along with Fireflies by Julie Brinckloe and then spent an evening collecting fireflies and letting them go. Great activity for a five year old.

There is a lot of science-background in this book, but it will never bore young children! It's the best book around about fireflies, and I bought it for our grandson who lives in California and doesn't see fireflies except when visiting in the East Coast. Wonderful story and lovely illustrations, a real keeper!
