Winco Rectangular Tray, 18 by 12-Inch, Chrome, 18" x 12"

I wanted a sturdy and wipeable metal tray for carrying afternoon tea over to the coffee table. This is the right size to hold my teapot, sugar bowl, creamer, tea cups and saucers. It doesn't bow under the weight. I like the subtle etching on the main body of the tray and the repousse effect around the edges. It's obviously not silver but it is affordable and practical and I think it's pretty without being over the top!

First of, read the reviews that people have written about this product before you purchase, if you do (as I did), you will not be disappointed. The tray is exactly what I was expecting, something cheap(er) but looks fancy. To the eye, it is really a beautiful tray but once you actually handle the tray it's faults become apparent. There are two main points that are problematic, minor, but to those who purchase wanting a 1st class item, will be disappointed. Firstly, it is rather bendy and if someone tried, they could bend it in half with their bare hands. Now, I'm not sure why someone would purposely attempt to bend it in half, I don't know, but there you have it anyways. I have yet to try it with my tea set, which is why I bought the item, but I am confident that it will be able to support a pot of tea, cups and saucers (keep in mind my pot holds only about 3-4 cups of tea.) The second small fault in this product are the handles, the shape alone makes it a little awkward to hold but the fact that they did not bevel the edges enough to be comfortable in the hand. The edges are not sharp enough to cut and it does seem like the edges are slightly beveled but it needs to be more (perhaps completely curved under.)Keep those things in mind if you are thinking about buying.

I love these trays. The quality, weight and size are great. They do not feel cheap whatsoever. Best trays I've found thus far for fancy anything.

I give this five stars because I recognize the cost vs quality. That being said this is a wonderful piece. A bit heavier than some. If your goal is to use as a display piece or on a table for an event this is great. It's not comfortable enough to hold and walk around serving guests but again table top it looks great. Mind you, shower/wedding event worthy- expecting royalty to be envious? No.

I bought this expecting a durable, professional-grade piece, but I’m honestly disappointed. The material is surprisingly thin and has a lot of "give" to it. Every time I pick it up, it feels like it’s going to bend or warp under the slightest bit of weight. For a product that is supposed to be used in a commercial or food-service setting, the build quality just isn't there. It feels cheap in the hand and definitely isn't worth the money. If you need something sturdy that won't flex when you're actually carrying items, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

If you’re looking to use this as a setting for a decanter set, it works great. It’s not a thick solid plate to carry a giant turkey on, but as a decorative piece it looks great for the cost. I’ve got 3 decanter bottles and 4 glasses on this tray on my bar and it really adds a stylish touch!

This tray glistens with a splendid shine and boasts a charming appearance. 'Tis a fine pick for fashioning a sturdy top upon an ottoman. The quality is somewhat delicate, yet the price warrants it well. 'Twould be better suited for stationary serving, and less so for post-tea or meal tidying.

Design, quality and price are good for intended purpose. Actual pan measurements are approximately 12 x 17 inches end to end. However, the measurements inside the tray, (for placing a whole, baked puff pastry rectangular layer) are only 9.25 x 14.75 inches. With the angled corners of the tray, the usable length and width of the tray are further reduced for a rectangular cake layer to 9.25 W x 10. inches L rectangle. I need a 11 to 12" Wide x 14 to 15" Long rectangular surface for the whole cake layer. Regretfully, will have to return it. 4 star rating is because of total usable 'rectangle' size.
