Lennox Multiposition-Lock Glider Chair and Ottoman Combo, White with Pearl Beige

My wife and I searched long and hard for a glider/rocker. We went to Buy Buy Baby and Babies R US looking at all the different models. My wife became obsessed reading review after review from Walmart, Amazon, Overstock, Hayneedle and such.This is her first child and she wants everything to be perfect so after much debate we decided to go with the Shermag which was pricer than the other brands and I have to say that it was the BEST decision ever. It's extremely comfortable, easy to build, its sturdy and it looks awesome. If you are indecisive, the best choice is the Shermag.

I had a Shermag rocker that I bought 10 years ago and loved. It was comfy, well built, and I used it to death. When it came to replace it, I wanted another Shermag. I bought this three months ago. When putting it together we discovered that the holes to attach the base to the seat and back weren't drilled correctly. We were able to put it together but I contacted to company. Supposedly they were sending me a new base a month ago. It still hasn't arrived. Other than that, it's still not a great chair. The seat cushion isn't comfortable at all. The locking mechanism slips into locked position all. the. time. You're rocking along peacefully and *whack* you keep rocking and the chair doesn't. It's a great way to wake the baby up. I'm hoping that the new base won't have that problem.... assuming I ever get it. I'll update then.------------------UPDATE 1/8/2018-------------------------After three months, we finally got the base replacement...... but not the screws and locking mechanism which came already put together on the original chair. So I contacted them and they said they'd send it. Still waiting. However, tonight the foot of the original base snapped off. (pic included). So we decided to put on the new base and add the screw and lock when they arrived. A pain, but doable. Got the new base out. It's a totally different base. Doesn't even fit the chair we have. (pic included) So now, I'm out $200 and have no chair. It made it just over four months. If I could give this thing no stars, I would. Asking for a refund. We'll see what they say.------------------UPDATE 1/172018-------------------------I contacted them nine days ago asking for a refund. They've gone radio silent. We'd been communicating about replacement parts. The minute I asked for a refund instead, the stopped talking. I wouldn't buy from them again, strictly from a customer service stand point.------------------UPDATE 2/172018-------------------------I did finally hear back from them. Their response? "We don't give refunds. See the dealer." Well, since they strung us along for 5 months, we are outside of the amazon return window. So basically if you get a defective chair, DO NOT follow their instructions that say "if you have a problem contact us not the seller." It means you won't have the opportunity for a refund if you decide you want one.We did contact Amazon, just because I wanted them to know what Shermag was doing. Surprisingly we got a partial refund. It's not the full price, but it's a heck of a lot more than Shermag was going to give us. Thank you Amazon for great customer service.

We just got ours and we love it. It's comfortable, glides really smooth without any noise, the color is prettier than the website, the ottoman is awesome and I am glad it came with it because it will suck without getting your feet up, easy to install.

It is easy to assemble and it feels good. However, after seating on it for a while you start to realize that your feet are mostly resting on the wood. You can always put a pillow on the foot rest.

This chair looks good ,but functions terribly. It is Not overly comfortable with thick cushions as described. It is a nightmare to sit in o. A regular basis, because for what ever reason, the safety lock just rAndomly goes on. I hate it!

not bad. you get what you pay for. It works. My husband and I are both large (he's 6'8'' 240lbs) and it supports us fine. Not sure how long it will last. We've had it since january. But for what we paid, I feel comfortable with the product.

I bought this for a person that has limited mobility. They like to 'rock', but not 'backwards'. This glider works perfect. More important, is that it can lock so it doesn't move, that is what distinguishes this chair from others (and is surprisingly hard to find).As for comfort, the cushions are total garbage. Grab a nice high density foam (wide) cushion - like you would get for car. The comfort part is something you can adjust by buying better padding, but the ability to lock the chair so it is rigid is what makes this worth the purchase.Assembly: It couldn't have been too bad, because the older family I gave it to managed to get it together.Overall, I am very happy. I do wish they would use better cushions, but as-is, this chair has become this older lady's goto chair. She can stand up from it, and doesn't feel scared by the rocking.

This chair has a nice gliding motion it is super soft and the ottoman is nice especially while nursing. I also, like the locking feature on the chair super helpful with a toddler running around. All in all, a very comfortable chair.
