To start with , this is an open ear partial bone conduction and partial air conducting headphones without any component obstructing the ear canal . this is the USP of the headphone and it cannot defy physics and give u an audiophile grade sound stage and clarity. The headphone does what it says it will and very well at that. i am a surgeon and i need a headphone on me to take calls when i am operating a case , but i cannot afford to not hear what others are talking in the operating theatre. i have tried over ear headphones with ambient mode and many other solutions, but nothing worked properly for me / were too bulky and distracting in the moment. so i went for this on recommendation of a surgeon friend of mine and it has been perfect for what i needed. i also use this to cycle and to listen to ambient music when i sleep, especially in hospital during breaks. i use this to listen to podcasts when doing household chores, and i use it when driving my older car which doesnt have hands free connectivity. And this has exceeded my expectations for what such a device has to do. Pros open ear sound clarity is good bone conduction works like a charm battery life the button placement is good and lets me pick up calls by pressing it on my shoulder when i am scrubbed in and also when my hands are dirty with household work. cons proprietary charger - but it is due to water proofing - third party chargers are available easily though and work well at louder volume levels - past midpoint - people around u can hear the sounds as it is not purely bone conduction. wife gets annoyed as she doesn't get an idea of if i am consuming media or simply wearing them :) App unavailable - had to download APK and install dual connectivity between tab and phone is buggy and unrefined - been 6 months and nothing has improved it, manually switching the connection every time i need to use it. overall i am not sure if it's value for money - but i got it during a sale - so i felt it exceeded my expectations for the price point. If it wasn't clear - this is not pure bone conduction - so u will still hear it playing if u leave it on a desk nearby in a quiet room.

Product is robust Battery life and charging system is awesome Noise cancellation seems amazing (This is 3rd day of use) People with CIC hearing aid : both devices has magnet (CIC & this headphone) At times you will experience super loud noise if talking to someone… face to face as well as over headphones

Connecting got some issues at first however later it's good, purchased this specific model for bass however a bit disappointed on bass but the noise cancellation is top notch and quite comfortable and quality is also good, let me get back with the review post usage for sometime

I have been using for 6 months and as brand name and suggested by my friend it is perfect for me. As it is open ear so in very noisy environment it might affect sound and it's quality but otherwise it serves perfectly. Good sound quality, battery backup is also very good , charging speed is as said. Thank you for good product shokz and Amazon for delivery.

Before you buy , make sure you have all the knowledge for this product. Bone conduction helps but the bass still lacks . For the ones who likes bass, Let me tell this, you would not like the sound quality. No app support in India which means you can not install shokz app in iPhone which can be used as an EQ for your earphones. No return policy. The biggest drawback Shokz app not available which can improve the bass from the EQ Section .

I've been using Shokz bone-conduction headphones since they were still branded as AfterShokz Aeropex, and after roughly 4-5 years of ownership, they've proven to be one of the most durable pieces of tech I've purchased. Originally, I bought three pairs. One required warranty replacement during the first year, and another finally stopped working about a month ago. The remaining two are still functioning well today. My desk-use pair looks almost new, while my daily-use pair only shows minor cosmetic wear where the outer coating has started to peel slightly after years of use. How I Actually Use Them Unlike many reviewers, I don't use these primarily for sports. My main uses are: Daily commuting on public transit Lunch breaks and general everyday listening PC gaming sessions that often last 6+ hours and sometimes 12 hours or more on weekends Occasional music and phone calls For commuting, they do an excellent job maintaining clear audio even with city and bus noise around me. For gaming, they've honestly been fantastic. One of the biggest advantages is comfort. I don't experience the ear fatigue, pressure, or heat buildup that I get from traditional over-ear headsets. Despite being bone-conduction headphones, positional audio and directional cues such as footsteps are still easy to distinguish, and I've had no issues using them in competitive games. Battery Life Battery life has remained surprisingly consistent over the years. I haven't noticed any significant degradation, and I never find myself worrying about whether they'll last through the day. Canadian Weather I've worn them through Canadian winters, and interestingly, wearing a toque can actually improve the listening experience by holding the transducers closer to the head, making the sound feel fuller. I've also used them in light rain and light snow without issues, although I generally try not to expose electronics to bad weather longer than necessary. Warranty Experience I had to use the warranty once due to static and audio issues developing on one side of the headset. From what I remember, the process was straightforward. I explained the issue, and Shokz replaced the unit without charging shipping costs. It's been long enough that I don't remember whether they required the original headset to be returned. Comparison to Newer Models I've recently tested both the Suunto Wing and the OpenRun Pro 2. The Suunto Wing delivers impressive sound quality and is a strong competitor, especially considering its price. However, it doesn't reach the same volume levels that I've come to expect from the Aeropex/OpenRun generation. The OpenRun Pro 2 was more surprising. While the newer air-conduction technology may technically improve audio quality, I personally preferred the original listening experience. The newer design seemed to leak more sound, and the audio felt slightly more hollow to me. Even in Classic Mode, something about the tuning felt different from the Aeropex generation. I really like the Shokz range. The battery life is good, they charge quickly, are very comfortable, work really well and have great sound quality. It's cool how the bone conduction process works. I wear them in all weather conditions, it doesn't matter if they get wet in the rain. They sit very securely on our head and won't fall off when running, even when trail running.They also sit nicely under my baseball style running hat or even when I have a head torch for winter running, so super comfy. I have them for running as it means I can listen to music and still hear everything around me so am quite safe, I can hear the traffic and other people too, great for park run and races where they allow headsets. I also use them when I travel on public transport, I can hear my music, podcasts etc but am still able to hear what's happening around me. I think this is a key personal safety element, I personally don't think you should deliberately wear noise cancelling devices on public transport as they can make you more vulnerable to issues that can occur and you will miss important announcements and information. I am able to accept incoming phone calls on them, but do find that occasionally the call will be lost, so would not recommend them as your only form of bluetooth phone headset.
