Q: When stacked, do they stay together?

They do not lock in place…they can be stacked, but if bumped there is a potential the top will slid off. They are very attractive and well made.

Q: What is the weight capacity of the hanging function of these? Are they strong enough to be full of fruits and vegetables along with hanging cast iron?

They aren't cast iron at all - the screw for the top wouldnt start i had to buy screw and go into the wood - as for hanging not to sure I have mine on the counter - but they are nice - the inside holds 12 pack of canned dog food - I guess if you zip tied the basket together you could hang and fill without worry!

Q: What size drill bit should I use for the anchor?

I didn't use anchors in the drywall--I attached a 1"x4" into the studs (so the wooden tops are a little deeper with that piece attached to the wall) and another 1"x4" a few inches below to hold the baskets from the wall. The baskets are attached to the 1"x4"s at the top.

Q: Can this wire basket hold large onion storage or potato storage?

Wish I could get my photos to show up on here, but check out the dimensions of the baskets--says 11.8"x 7.9"x 8.5"; am thinking some of the photos are a little distorted, but I have five of these lined up on the wall in my sewing room between two storage armoires. (See my answer to "what size drill bit".) Anyway, it depends on what you call a "large" onion or potato! Maybe you can find a box approximately the same size and see if what you call "large" fits! These would likely work in my kitchen, but...size is relative. Some of the review photos here might work for a better answer. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Great product

I don't have a lot of space in my kitchen and bought this as an impulse buy as it appeared to be a worktop fruit and veg rack. Really impressed with the quality and design, ease of putting together, took about five minutes. Totally functional and looks great on the worksurface, all of my veg is now out of a carrier bag. Very pleased with the product, which is used daily, cannot recommend enough.

Absolutely perfect. These are the second set I've purchased. (Put another set in my hall)Easy to put into wall and they look super in my kitchen.Watch out for crumbs falling through the wire bottoms...if that's an issue, I just placed a piece of cloth on the bottom, but the second set I got came with a clear piece of plastic to put on bottom
