Mounted them under my shed loft. Have approx ten poles inserted. They stay where you put them. Installation was easy.

Only able to fit three rods in the horizontal space down the stairwell, due to the reels, but it gets them up off the floor and out of the living room. Win-win for the both of us. Will likely buy two more for the rest of the rods. :)
