Recently, I had the pleasure of reading this book that has not only significantly improved my understanding of the language but also kept me thoroughly entertained from start to finish. The narrative is well written, with an intriguing plot that captivated me from the first page.What truly sets this book apart is its ability to teach without feeling like a lesson. Each chapter is filled with useful vocabulary and grammatical structures that are essential for any Spanish learner. Moreover, the story is so engaging that you hardly realize you’re learning.I highly recommend this book to anyone learning Spanish. It will not only enrich your knowledge of the language but also provide you with literary enjoyment. An absolute gem!

Great book! The story was interesting to follow and easy to understand. Super fun read and lots of useful vocabulary.

I really liked this book. Excellent format with a vocabulary and study questions. And an interest story that makes you want to continue reading it to find out what happens. After reading this book my understanding of Spanish has improved very much. The author is so good that I purchased other books by her. I’ve tried reading other books and other programs to learn Spanish which were helpful but not as much as the books by Cristina Lopez. I highly recommend her books. This one Viaje de Madrid is my favorite. But her other books are also worth readingThank you Cristina Lopez for developing these books!!!!

I didn't give it a five because the print was very light (I also bought the second book in this series and was equally light), which made it a little harder for older eyes to read. Other than that, it was a good read for beginner/advanced beginner.

This book is so helpful! I’ve been learning Spanish on my own for about 5 months. I have some workbooks and two apps. I wanted another learning tool, but most books were simply too advanced. This book is written entirely in the present tense! That’s so creative. I’m only part-way through, but the story is fun and it’s a boost of confidence to see how much I can understand. I needed that boost and recommend this for year one learners or anyone who wants a refresh of their Spanish.

First attempt at reading in Spanish and I loved this book! Get it. It's so worth it.

This book was a great way to break down learning Spanish while keeping things interesting. I was able to read 1 chapter a day and by the end I could understand what I was reading without going back to dissect each sentence. It was a great way to really test my vocabulary and to utilize context clues.The vocab sections at the beginning, the comprehension questions/answers, as well as the English translation are fantastic and a great way to make sure you’re catching all of the story’s details.Im absolutely getting the next couple books in this series! Highly recommended.Book came quickly and in perfect condition.

This is the first book I read in Spanish and it I loved it. It has been so wonderful to find a book in present tense! It was refreshing to understand (almost) everything without the need to look it up and having the vocabulary list was extremely helpful! I've purchased all of Cristina's books since finishing this one!
