The Arm & Hammer Carpet and Room Allergen Reducer and Odor Eliminator Powder works great for freshening up carpets and reducing allergens. The baking soda formula really helps eliminate odors at the source rather than just masking them, leaving my home smelling fresh. It’s easy to use—just sprinkle, let it sit, and vacuum. I noticed a difference in air quality and less lingering pet and smoke odors after using it. However, the scent might be strong for some, so be mindful if you're sensitive to fragrances. Overall, a great product for deep carpet cleaning and odor removal!

It is great! It helped me a lot with my allergies. I used to put this on my carpet and use my vacuum after a while and I would sleep very well at night. If you have allergies, you should definitely try it! It has a good price and it leaves the room with a nice smell afterwards.

I used this on my area rug and it made my entire house smell good and fresh. As far as allergen reducer, I am not sure but I can tell you that it helps with the reduction of odor. I even sprinkle a little in my trash can sometimes. It’s a good value for the price. I do believe it is stronger than the ones at the stores. The smell lasted about a day or 2. The box arrived in tact and undamaged.

Very strong scent, it’s not horrible, but it’s very strong for a “lightly scented” product. The floral smell of it permeated the entire house (almost 3000 sq. ft. home with high ceilings, that’s how strong it is). It smells like a springtime fragrance sample in a fashion magazine to me, which isn’t terrible, but to those who are sensitive to smells like that it could be a problem.. I used a Dyson vacuum and it seemed to take most of it out of the carpet initially, but when I emptied the canister and passed over it again with the vacuum, I kept getting more powder. Not a lot, but still a visible amount after what I thought was a thorough vacuuming. So I’m wondering how much of this powder is left in the carpet…like what percentage stays in the carpet fibers? It’s pet safe, so that’s good, anyway. I really don’t know if I’d buy the scented again. Maybe I would buy it and mix it with an unscented powder, like 1 part fragrance to 4 parts unscented…I just don’t want my house to smell too perfumed. Hopefully it dissipates quickly. Update: The next day the smell was much less pronounced. It took a full 24 hours. I vacuumed again and the smell was briefly reactivated. Haven’t smelled it since, so the scent was strongest initially and then gradually disappeared over a 24 hour period. I vacuumed again and no fragrance at all. Like I had never used it.

Very effective. Pleasant, mild smell. No harsh chemicals, safe around pets and children.

I live in an apartment with two cats, a dog, and three other humans. Allergens are a major issue in here. Since using this on all our rugs, there has been a noticeable difference in air quality, smell, and allergies. The smell can be a little overwhelming when you first cover the carpet/rugs, but it becomes more tolerable after vacuuming it back off. Safe for houses woth pets and long lasting :)

Strong smell cant sleep in bedroom cause of it. Itchy eyes and skin for me. Bought it hoping it helps with my asthma.

I like it my room smell fresh and it vacuumed up great .. I left it on the carpet for hour and then vacuumed it up ..

Bought this hoping it would help with asthma and help reduce allergens in carpets. This stuff was SUPER smelly, strong chemical scent that smelled like old lady perfume. Was really bad for asthma. If you like this kind of strong smelling carpet deodorant go ahead, but warning for people with asthma, don’t buy this product!

This left my house smelling strongly for a week with a flowery chemical smell. Once the was gone the carpet still had an odor. I tried another product and it worked quickly and left no smell so I won't be purchasing this again.
