This is a good candle to burn during the festive season or to gift during that time. It is a strong red and it has a pleasing fragrance that fills the corner of the room near the tree.Yankee Candles provide good value in their mid market position, with attractive lidded jars and pleasant fragrances, although I would urge doing some in-store sniffing before purchase where possible to check the smell is to your taste.For best burning experience, keep the wick trimmed to no more than 3mm and use a candle snuffed to extinguish as that helps prevent the wax going everywhere.This is an attractively scented candle, sized for bath tub corners and secret Santa/stockings as well as the bedroom, lounge or dinner table. The lid helps keep the dust off between burnings although this one smells so nice it is unlikely to get a chance to accumulate dust in this house.

I'm true Yankee fashion this was a brilliantly scented candle. Yankee candles are fragranced all the way through which means that it doesn't matter how far down you burn the wax it will still be as fragranced as when you first brought it. It definately makes it a worthwhile purchase. The fragrance was very strong and lasted for hours even after he candle had been snuffed out. The wax pooled extremely well which meant the maximum amount of wax was burned leaving no wastage. It was brought as a gift and matched the recipients decor which was perfect. They loved the fragrance and were devestated when they used it all up. They keep tinting that I should buy them another one!! A shade was used with this jar which ensured it burnt evenly and wasn't affected by draughts, something that I would highly recommend doing as it really does make such a huge difference and prevents the candle from tunnelling. Amazon tends to be so much cheaper for Yankee candles than the high street stores and even the Yankee candle shop so I would definately recommend buying them from Amazon. They are definately worth the money though as you ow with a Yankee candle you are getting a high quality product. This fragrance was a beautiful Christmas fragrance and was so warm and inviting. It really is an excellent purchase and I would highly recommend.

For some time this has been my favourite of the Yankee Christmas offerings. It has a strong scent; cinnamon, gingerbread, berries, oranges - all are detectable here making the fragrance really hit the spot for the festive season. Undeniably, large Yankee candles are very long lasting too. And they're available for great prices on Amazon. So why not five stars? - Well, having purchased Yankees avidly for a number of years I'm left with a home in serious need of re-decoration for a start! I followed all the advice about keeping the wicks trimmed, I even bought a couple of Yankee 'diffuser' type shades yet these candles still have a tendency - as do all paraffin wax candles - to throw off nasty substances, the most visible of which is soot. This may be less apparent in a large home but I live in a very small one and the surfaces, ceilings and walls have over time become blackened in places or covered with a thin greasy film of soot. My partner and I have been buying almost exclusively clean burning soy candles this year (would recommend 'Heart & Home') so 'Christmas Memories' is likely to be the last Yankee we buy unless a soy range is introduced, which they're unlikely to as that would inevitably cast doubt over the safety of the rest of their paraffin wax-based products. Safety huh? Yes - when scented candles are burned toxins are released, in addition to very visible soot deposits hence people who suffer from asthma, allergies or respiratory conditions may want to give them a wide berth. So, while the scent of this candle greatly appeals, there is much about Yankee and other paraffin wax candle ranges that appalls.

Highly recommended if you like cosy, spicy smells. The seet orange blended with ginger and cinammon makes this my favourite Yankee candle.I would buy this at normal price around £27

I buy this candle every Christmas and it’s getting harder to get hold of , it arrived well packaged . The scent lovely but it is strong so the large size candle would be overpowering in a small room in my opinion

So this smell is definitely a marmite thing..... you either love it or hate it!!It does have a bite to it that can hit the back of the throat. However I love it!

Great gifts for Christmas. I also kept one or two for home.
