My iPhone 13 fell out of my pocket in the rain survived hard rain.quality is amazing. It was definitely worth value for money it protected my phone so good. It is easy to install a little hard stuff get in the case to clean.

Durable case and it fits good around the phone

I really like this case so far. I bought one for my wife's recently-upgraded iPhone 14 Plus and then decided to get one for my iPhone 13. I had been using the Apple case, which looked nice, added virtually no bulk to the phone, but also provided only minimal protection. The Otterbox Defender XT case does add a slight amount of bulk but a ton more protection. It's also very grippy, reducing the chances of dropping it in the first place.I particularly like the charging port cover/protector. This will keep the charging port from clogging up with lint. With my previous Apple case I used a separate "port plug" to keep out the lint, but I'd have to remove that each time I wanted to plug it into my car. (I use a mag charger at home.) Also, on this case the switch for the mute slide switch is nicely recessed. With the Apple case the switch would sometimes change the setting, which was very annoying and could result in missed calls. That will not happen with this case.Overall I'm very happy with this case. Note that it does not come with a protector for the screen, so that will have to be added separately. But note, too, that the design of the case makes is less likely to sustain damage even if the phone were dropped with the screen facing down. That's because the ridge that runs around the perimeter would in most instances keep the screen from making contact if dropped.

This is a overall great case. While the installation was a bit difficult, as other reviews have also pointed out, it wasn’t TOO bad. It is a very protective case and also very comfortable to hold.However, I do have one big complaint. This case does NOT come with a wrist-strap as the listing suggests. The case has a loop where a wrist-strap can be attached, but it does not actually come with the wrist-strap like previous OtterBox Defender series cases have included in the past.

It feels strong. I like how the otter box defender holster clicks and holds this case better. I haven’t had my phone get dislodged yet. But, there is no dust cover for the silent switch.

My toddler literally throws or stomps on my phone and this case has lasted through all of it. And so has my screen.

This phone case has a hard inner liner with an outer impact resistant outer coating made of a rubber-like material. A couple of days ago, the outer rubber-like material started separating from the inner case at one corner. It has now created a separation of 1/8th to 1/16th of an inch and is moving up the side and across the bottom of the case. I am careful with my phone and do not use it while working or while doing any thing else that might damage the case or the phone. The most rugged thing I have done with this case is to put my phone in my pocket and take it. Years ago, I bought an Otterbox case for my iPhone 6 and it worked great for a number of years. When I bought a new iPhone 14, I spent more money than I could have spend on another product to buy an Otterbox because I wanted something that would last. This phone case failed 32 days after I received it - just outside the return window. I won't ever buy another Otterbox.UPDATE: I have now owned and used it for a year - I didn't replace it because I just wanted to see how bad it would get. Now a second corner has separated from the case. (See attached photo). If you value your phone and don't want to waste your money - stay away - stay far away from this phone case. It's pure junk.
