Works pefectly
Easy to assemble. I buried it as you should putting the catch basin right under the down spout and digging out a hole filled with rocks for catching the water then covered that over. Poured 5 gallons of water all at once and with a slight angle on the catch box you have no water left in it. Bone dry. Very pleased with it and the simplicity of it.

Great drain.
I was looking for solution where two down spouts came together in a corner. I attached the fitting to an existing pipe and it worked perfectly.

Temporary? Yes Long term? No
The connection hose sucks, need to put on very carefully. Cover is also ehh. But for $20 it’ll be my temporary fix.

Some concerns, but seems to work.
Might work better if I actually buried it as instructed too. But I let it sit on top of the ground. I had to put some rocks inside to weigh it down a little bit. The hose also kept popping off out of the box, but once I got it on, and didn’t pull too hard, it was fine. Seems to divert some water away from the house, which is the intended purpose

Easy to Put Together, Tube is Very Flexible and Quite Long
I like this catch basin much better than just a flat piece of concrete or plastic, such as you usually see to go under a downspout. It's attractive, and the grid at the top should keep large leaves, etc. from clogging it, as well as looking nice. I do think it's interesting that they keep saying "No Digging" required, and yet the instructions tell you to dig, as of course you must do if you want to bury it. That would be the most attractive and unobtrusive installation, and I will probably do that next spring, but I've put it in place on top of the ground for now. In this location it's unlikely to be disturbed, and may be fine on top of the ground for an extended period. The water will be channeled under a large bush nearby. The tube is very easy to attach to the catch basin, just follow the photo directions. You sort of squeeze the very soft rubbery piece, and insert it, letting it spring back to shape and fill the opening. Be sure to put the flat part at the bottom, as specified. The tube just pushes into the insert, and you can pull it out as much as you need. I haven't extended mine to its full length, as I didn't need to. I'm looking forward to (finally) getting some rain, and seeing this in action. I have no doubt that it will be great.I'm using this along with a Leptalina Rain Chain (also from Amazon) and I think the combination is going to be perfect.

It Does What It Is Supposed to Do
The media could not be loaded. The setup is easy--though the installation can take a little time, if you dig for the pot and trench for the expansion hose. Leaves catch on the grid and water is taken away by the hose. I used my garden hose on full and wide open to test this item, but the flow from my roof is much heavier, so I'll be digging out a hole to keep the drain pan from getting pushed away by the force of the stream. It's a simple solution, and it may overrun during real heavy downpours, but it does what I expected of it.
