Excellent collection of Kerala recipes. Ingredients are not dumbed down for Western cooks. It badly needs an English index

If you like Keeralan food, or want to get to know it this is a great book. The problem is the binding. The book covers, instead of being covered with a protective cover material are printed on and left unprotected by any material. The covers are a form of compressed paper. If uncovered, moisture can cause the covers to delaminate. The cover will come apart and the book will be ruined. Not good in a cookbook. I hope they will reissue with a proper cover. I returned this one.

Livre très intéressant qui fait un tour rapide des influences culinaires au Kerala. Toutefois il s'adresse davantage à un public qui connaît déjà la cuisine du Kerala. La facture du livre est artistique et le propos pertinent malgré le nombre limité de photos des mets. Si vous voulez vous initier à cette cuisine et que vous n'êtes pas familier avec cette culture, il y a d'autres livres plus appropriés. En ce qui me concerne, je connais un peu la cuisine et la région.
