We upgraded our 30 amp Renogy DC to DC charger, which was working great, with a new 50 amp version when we had struggled to keep the charge on our system up to the task of running the residential refrigerator we had installed. We had 100 watt folding solar panel which worked well enough other than we needed more juice. We now have folding 240 watt setup and discovered the admittedly cheap extension wire we were using was intermittently failing, so we replaced the extension wires with these. The wire itself is bigger and better and good looking copper and the connectors are great. We tested the wire end to end once we had added the copper ring terminators on the bare end and checked the voltage, noting no loss over the pretty short 20 foot run. If you have a similar need for wire, you'll do fine with this, the price is fair, and it looks to be durable and will serve you well.

H had to quickly strap on new Thunderbolt solar panels on my yacht. These wires and connectors made the job easy. Held up in the heavy rain as well.

I purchased these cables to connect two solar panels to my Goal Zero 1000. Along with this purchase I needed to buy some Anderson PowerPole 45 amp connectors and the appropriate crimper for the connectors. I also wrapped the two cables in mesh sleeving to keep them together and easy to handle. The cable seems adequate but I was expecting much more flexibility. The copper is indeed very thick and finely stranded. The connectors are a bit tight but work. When I first tried to connect them to my panels, I didn't think the connectors were going to lock together. With some effort, I was able to make them lock. Pros: Nice looking cables with pre-installed connectors on one end that are gendered correctly for my panels. Cons: * Stiff cable (not a big problem but makes them a bit awkward to deploy). Putting the cable wrap on them made it much easier. * Tight connectors. This might be a good thing. As tight as they are it is difficult to make them lock into your panel's connectors. They did lock but it took some effort and created concern that they might break when joining them. Quality power cables at a good price. I'd buy these again.
