A good option if you need a softer disc
I happily used another brand’s regular-size softer/sensitive cup for a few years until I got tired, literally and figuratively, of excessive blood loss during shark week and had a hormonal IUD put in. I didn’t want to risk dislodging the IUD with cup suction, so I switched to a disc. The CORA soft disc is the first one I tried, and now, after my…sixth? cycle with it, I feel like I’ve gotten the hang of it well enough to review. In the early days, I wondered if I should’ve ordered a regular firmness disc instead, because it did NOT want to stay put. I don’t know if I’ve gotten better at it, or my body’s more used to it now, but now, I usually only have to adjust it after number two, instead of trying to re-insert three times after every minor bathroom visit. Could this be made easier with a firmer disc? Maybe, but…I was not really prepared with how much contact I’d have to have with my innards. The disc goes Way Up There, unlike with a cup. I have a connective tissue disorder, so Everything In My Body Hurts All Of The Time, and, based on my previous experience with a firmer (regular-firmness lol) cup, I think that having a firmer disc would be excruciating for me. As it is, I have some pressure sometimes from the CORA soft disc (e.g. when it’s been in but needs to be adjusted), but it’s less than what I had with the soft cup I was using (and I switched from a regular-firmness cup to a soft one for a reason and that reason was pain and pressure). There have been a few times where I’ve lost my grip on the disc due to the water-based lubricant I use for insertion getting under my fingers (and also having hands that don’t always do what I want them to), and that’s uncomfortable enough. I think a firmer cup…no. Just no.(If you’re new to discs/cups, use a good not-runny water-based lubricant with it. It will improve your quality of life. Just make sure you don’t put it where your fingers will be holding the thing.)I will say that I do miss being able to record how much volume I’m losing. I can’t tell what’s half full or 2/3, and sometimes it auto-dumps. This is becoming less of an issue, as the IUD is doing its job, but it kind of bugs me that I can’t hand over consistent data to my gyn like I could with the cup.I’ve seen varying answers for how long the disc is supposed to last than the cup—two years, or 10. The disc is much thinner than a cup, so I’m leaning toward it lasting closer to two than 10, especially since even though my flow is lighter now, I’m still needing to use the cup for close to two weeks at a time (shark fortnight). (That, at least, is data I can report to my gyn without needing to know exactly how full the disc is.) I’m considering ordering a backup, just in case this one gives up the ghost when money is tight. The soft disc has little vent slots like a cup does—which eases my mind about the suction issue—but oh wow do they get more gross than the vent slots on my cup did. My end-of-cycle sterilization measures clear it up, but soap and water (and scrubbing at the slots for five minutes) isn’t cutting it for the mid-cycle slots gunk. Like, do I need to Waterpik it?? It’s not a dealbreaker for me (yet) but might be something to be aware of. I usually rinse with cold water, then use soap, then rinse with warm water before re-inserting, and otherwise haven’t had issues with staining so far. Just the gunk in the slots.I haven’t had much of a problem with losing the disc or the rim getting turned around so I couldn’t reach the little grabber part, which has been a relief. However, I am physically disabled & not out climbing mountains or discovering new lands on horseback, so if you’re the sort of person who runs 30 miles per week in addition to working overtime and taking a gourmet cooking class, you may have a different experience. (For doing walks/roadside trash pickup and yoga, I’ve had no problems.)My rating is really 4.5 stars, but since I can’t give a half, I’m rounding up to 5, because higher-volume reusables have been a lifesaver after 25 years of the physical drain and social embarrassment of excessive flow. I wish my teen self especially had had knowledge of/access to cups and discs. The medical side of it is an ongoing situation, but products like these have changed my life for the better. Is the CORA soft cup a perfect product? No, but I don’t think there is an objectively perfect product. It makes things manageable for me, which was my goal. I chose the CORA soft disc because it was one of the softest options, and even though it has perhaps more of a learning curve, having less pain/pressure with use is worth it. If you’re in a similar situation as me and have the money to at least try this one, I think it’s worth it.

Great product, no leaks, easy to clean, recommend removal at home!
I love this product in that I can leave it in for 9hrs and I wont have any leaks at all. Removal is easy and the finger slot is perfect, but I will say the removal is MESSY. I have done it over the toilet and it literally just dumps everywhere. I would definitely recommend removal in the shower just so you dont have to worry about any drips or mess on your hands etc. Cleaning is super easy with a cleanser and then you're ready to put it back! Again I really like this product, I just would 100% make sure you plan to remove and clean at home.

Pros: soft Cons: also, soft
I just accidentally dropped mine into the toilet, so I think it’s time for me to write a review lol. (To be honest, I’m super scared of getting an infection, so this is the end of my journey with the Cora soft fit disc.)First of all, the softness is heaven. This is my third disc, and I love how soft and squishy it is. I have vaginismus, which means my pelvic floor is constantly tight (working on it TT) and yeah, this was lovely, because it felt easy to insert and I didn’t feel the disc while I was wearing it.However. And here comes the worst part TT this disc leaked almost constantly. At first, it was as bad as if I stood up from a chair, it leaked. I’ve only used it for like 3-4 months, so there’s a small chance that maybe I could’ve gotten used to it (or not, I guess we’ll never know).I’ve only removed it on the toilet and it’s just so annoying that the little notch moves around (although that’s expected). Now, my little accident happened exactly because of this. I have a heavy flow, so things are pretty slippery down there…not to mention that I was removing my disc after it leaked most of its content onto the period liners I wore for safety, so things were intense already. Now, I usually try to remove this disc by pushing a finger under the rim, so I can get a hold of it and try to pull it out…but the rim is soft, the disc was very slippery and the notch was nowhere to be found, so my disc ended up falling into the toilet. It’s kind of sad, because it was expensive (I ordered from Europe, so I had to pay VAT and all that jazz) but it’s honestly not my holy grail menstrual disc. I’m glad they make soft ones, because the experience was comfortable, but due to the very nature of the disc, it’s more prone to leaking.I hope I could help with my review! ^^

Doesn’t work
I really wanted to like this product. I’ve been using cups for years and decided to try a new one. This one is so disappointing. I understand the concept of having the little groove in the front for easier removal, but it honestly just makes it harder. the groove can twist and you’ll find yourself digging around to find it just to take it out, and it makes it harder to insert because the cup does not sit flat because of it. Also, why are there air holes? If you even breathe wrong this thing WILL spill, meaning you should wear a liner if you’re going to use it- which is completely redundant. I’m a little annoyed I spent $30 on a new cup that doesn’t even work when I could have spent $14 on 12 disposable cups.

Very comfortable, but leaks for me.
This is my review for the Cora Soft Fit disc:The color is a beautiful blue...like an Aqua shade. It's pretty. Easy to clean and you feel clean as you wear it. Practically undetectable...it's so soft.Easy to fold, easy insertion, with it being very soft. With a nice, smooth matte silicone and a super thin, almost squinchy basin.I like the rim. It is very flexible. There are teeny tiny little suction holes, as to which me personally never experienced suctioning or cleaning problems with them. Packaged with a black storage pouch and instructions. Minimal packaging, in a little light blue box. It's just the cutest little thing. Much smaller in person than what you'd see in pictures.Upon my usage, with the Cora Soft, it was not the easy amazing experience I'd had hoped for. The comfort was ok for me, but than quickly began to leak, at any time. Couldn't trust it. I would be sitting doing nothing and it would leak. So this is one disc I will probably never use. It will be sitting in my stash collecting dust because I've already bought another disc to suit my needs. Total war if money and I wish I never bought it. That is just my 2 cents.I think this disc has potential to work for other people. It just didn't with me. I think the basin jumbles up inside and loses its shape, therefore, the blood can't sit right in the basin. I also feel like the finger notch that's suppose to help you locate it, actually contributes to the leaking because of the way it's designed. I don't know, but I don't like it.So 3 stars for how pretty it is, how soft it is, and that Cora seems like a good company that put a lot of thought in their products. But the disc is, by far, my least favorite. Sorry 😔

Comfortable postpartum
I bought this disc because I was using the regular perfect fit disc and happy with it until I had a baby. Postpartum, the black disc was really uncomfortable and I needed something softer. This was it! Since it’s softer it’s a little harder for insert but not impossible. Just double check it’s all the way opened. Very comfortable and I was able to exercise with it.

Yes, it’s tricky to get out at first, but:
I’ve used disposable discs before and really liked them, so I wanted to try a silicone one. The silicone one was harder to learn how to remove 😂 so, a few tips:-1. Wear gloves. I promise this helps because your hand *will* come out looking like you murdered someone with your bare hand. It’s nice to just flip the glove inside out and not accidentally get blood all over your bathroom sink.-2. Use 2 fingers. The most effective method I’ve found is to use my pointer to hold the removal notch, then my middle finger to essentially pinch the ring of the disc, which forces it forward and dislodges it from the deadly grasp of my pubic bone.-3. Don’t panic. It’s okay to cry about not being successful at removing it the first (or second) try, but don’t spiral about needing to go to the ER where your friend’s husband works and worrying he’ll be the one to fish it out for you. YOU CAN DO IT. I believe in you.Maybe these tips are helpful, maybe not. My uterus is tilted back, and after having doctors try to find it for exams when having my 4 kids, I know my cervix is pretty high up there. These factors might be why I struggled a bit with removal, but overall I love using this disc and it is worth the hassle and learning curve! I bleed heavy at the beginning and it doesn’t leak the way tampons do, and is way way comfy. I forgot I was wearing it TBH.

I wish it had a pull tab or loop instead of just a notch!
This menstrual disc is the 3rd one I’ve tried. I’ve been a pad user since my teen years (skipped tampons) and tried menstrual cups but breaking the suction is TOUGH and I could still feel the cup even when I cut off all the tab. Menstrual discs are IT (just not this one)I wanted to try the cora menstrual disc bc smaller and has a softer rim than the ones I’ve tried. It was easy to insert, I didn’t feel it at all once it was in there. I didn’t feel too much pressure on my bladder/urethra, which I appreciated, and it did not auto dump for me nor did it leak after. BUT I only wore it for 1 day bc when I tried to remove it I HAD THE HARDEST TIME! It has a notch which I didn’t find helpful at all, using my index finger in the notch only felt like I was pushing the rim toward the wall and there was no room for me to pull it downward. I also tried using my thumb but there’s only so much room there and I could not pinch the rim to pull it down. I was sitting on the toilet, bearing down, leaning back and somehow maneuvered my index finger into the rim and pulled it out that way which was NOT PLEASANT. I almost cried thinking about how it was going to be stuck. After using discs that have loops, I unfortunately will not give this disc another chance ˙◠˙I think newer users should stay away bc you will have the hardest time removing this!

Amazing!
I normally don't write reviews about products but oh my goodness. This is probably the best product I've been able to find. I had been looking at more healthy and cost effective feminine products for a while now. I always shied away from menstrual cups cause I thought they were yucky and/or they were uncomfortable. I just bought this and I swear to you...you cannot even tell you have it in. Most comfortable thing ever. It is 100% worth the money and I feel so much better. I don't know if anyone else has experienced discomfort with using tampons on their monthly but I personally have. That doesn't exist with this disc and is such a relief. It's comfortable, easy to clean and easy to use. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because although it works very well it is not 100% leak proof. I recommend if you use it to wear a liner as a "just in case" as sometimes a few drops do leak through sometimes but other than that absolutely great product!
