Yes yes yes! Life changing.
I failed to read the product description properly and was pleasantly surprised when a ginormous 23 oz jar arrived. This is the best chili crisp, perhaps the best condiment, I have ever had! My jar arrived sealed, fresh and absolutely perfect. It’s adds savory, gently zippy, tingly heat to anything. It’s salted perfectly, has crunchy bits of fried chilies and soybeans, and is just generally amazing. Perhaps it is the msg that makes it so addictive, maybe it’s the Szechuan pepper? I don’t know, but I love it. It’s incomparable.

We love it! We put chili crisp on everything from soups and rice bowls and sandwiches and sushi and hand rolls Spice level is perfect not extremely spicy but very toasty and roasted. The ingredients are versatile and pair with everything you can think of , including noodles and rice. The bottle does not leak but just make sure to clean around the rim when you are done using it. Quality ingredients and spices used make every dish taste better.

Soo good, the star of any dish!
Amazing taste, soo good you'll be thinking about food to eat with it! The chili oil quickly becomes the main attraction to whatever dish you add it into. Packaged amazingly well and sealed properly. Spice level: Weak, this like mild taco bell hot sauce, no sting to it, more of a slow burn in the background. I was hoping the spicy flavored version would offer more punishment. Versatile! It's great with Asian foods, dumplings, noodles, rice -but also- Pizza, eggs, pasta, or soup, even over veggies - omg. Yes, an amazing bang for your buck. This stuff belongs in every kitchen, enjoy.

Really good stuff.
I was looking for that spicy chili stuff they have in dim-sum restaurants. The local Asian grocery stores have 127 varieties, and I have no idea what to get. Somewhere I saw a recipe that called for "chili crisp sauce", and it sounded like it might work. I ordered this stuff off Amazon, though I had been told it wasn't like the chili sauce I was looking for. So, imagine my delight when it turned out to be FANTASTIC for dim-sum! It's definitely spicy, but not burn-your-mouth spicy, and it's super flavorful. I used up my first jar, and I've just received my second.

Chili crisp brings an umami kick with a little heat to just about everything: meats, veggies, or eggs all become elevated with a little spoonful of Chili crisp. We are addicted!

Delightful taste, texture, & spiciness
PROs: nicely spicy with a nifty crunchy texture. reasonably priced (unlike a lot of the trendy "craft" chili crisp flooding the US market now). CONs: preservatives you might want to avoid (monosodium glutamate, sodium sulfite, and sulfur dioxide). super salty. I was lucky to receive my big jar in one piece, unlike some reviewers. (There wasn't any cushioning inside the box to protect it in transit, so I would advise anyone ordering to consider ordering it alone, rather than as part of a larger order of things that might get damaged by leaking oil or an inadvertently cracked or smashed jar.) Don't be put off by bizarre assertions in some reviews about a "fishy" taste: there is none, nor are there any ingredients that would impart one! There is, however, a lot of salt. To my palate, the level of sodium is overwhelming, which is a shame because I like nearly everything else about Lao Gan Ma's chili crisp, aside from the preservatives. Chili crisp has a way of enhancing most foods that is surprising and delightful. It is fantastic on everything from eggs to veggies to meats to noodles. It has a habit of disappearing really quickly... which is why, if you like the taste, this large jar isn't overkill. If you haven't tried it before, it might not be a bad idea to first buy a small jar at your local Asian grocer to see if you like it: it should be about $3 for a 7oz. jar. You can also order a case (12 jars) of LGM here on Amazon for about $36. After buying this Family/Restaurant Size jar of LGM, I ordered a case of the small jars. Interestingly, the small jars (produced in March 2020) I received taste COMPLETELY different than this large jar: the sodium level isn't through the roof like it is in this large jar, and the flavor and crispiness are noticeably better. I have no idea if it is typical for batches to vary this much in taste -- or if I just got a one-off or expired large jar -- but I am even more addicted now. Great stuff!

Addictive and full of flavor — this chili crisp is a must-have in my kitchen!
I’ve tried a lot of chili oils, but nothing compares to Lao Gan Ma. This big restaurant-size jar is perfect because once you start using it, you’ll realize how fast the smaller jars disappear. The flavor is that perfect balance of heat, crunch, and umami — it’s not just spicy for the sake of being spicy. There’s real depth from the fried chili flakes, garlic, and crunchy soybeans. I put it on everything — rice, noodles, eggs, dumplings, even pizza. It instantly makes plain food taste like something from a restaurant. The spice level is medium in my opinion — enough to wake up your taste buds but not overpowering. It’s also nice that it’s not too oily compared to other chili crisps I’ve tried. You get a lot of those crunchy bits that everyone loves. The jar itself is huge and will last a long time, even if you use it daily like I do.
