GRE with Online Tests (Barron's Test Prep)

For reasons relevant to me, but not to this review, I had to study for and take the GRE in 2 weeks. This and the online tests published by the ETS were the only resources I used. I basically reviewed the entire book and did all the practice questions provided, and exceeded my baseline test scores by about 5 points each. I was already testing pretty high, if my baseline were lower I bet it would have had a greater impact. That said, the majority of the information was just refresher (it had been ~10 years since undergrad), so most of what I took away was the methodology of taking the actual test. I would definitely use it again - should I ever have to take it again....

After using this book to study, I scored 16 points higher on my exam. It was offered at an affordable price and covered all the areas of the test that you need to know. My only wish was that there were more details and practice problems for the sequence portion in the math reference. There were questions on the exam with sequence that I didn't feel prepared to tackle.

Pretty good book to prepare for GRE. Does come with many examples and strategies to help with the scores. I do actually recommend the official guidelines more than this one.

I wish I have bought it earlier and given myself at least 6 months to fully grasp the entire book. I rushed it in 2 months while working and not much stuck but the book quality and content is good.

I really like this book. It has a lot of useful tips and good practice tests. Of course the goal is to finish the ETS book, but this is a good start!

While there's a lot of good features in the book, I found the explanations of some of the problems to be more complicated than the needed to be, going through unnecessary steps that could waste valuable time, especially on the quantitative section. However, I do think the examples are good, and the step-by-step discussion of what the test includes is very good.

This book is amazing. I will I bought it when I started preparing for gre. This book being printed locally makes it cheap, which is a good thing.

The answer key for the diagnostic test is NOT provided. I would suggest another book. The only reason I chose this was because of the number of reviews and the priority which Amazon listed it in
