I bought it for my 10 yo but it was in a way for me:) I couldn't wait for her to open it. It is a great kit! it has absolutely everything you need to start making candles, the scents are so GOOD the jars are really beautiful, it was really easy to make the candles although I think that and additional explanation about when to put the scents and when to pour it to the jar would make this perfect kit even better. My daughter asked me to write this review because she loved it so much, thanks to this kit she has a new hobby. 10 out of 10

I got the kit when it was on sale so I got a really good deal but even at regular price it’s a great value. The candle tins are on the small side but the amount of scents and coloring you get make it worth the price just themselves. I couldn’t get over how many oil fragrances there were. And you really only need a few drops so there was a ton left. After you get this kit you just need to get more wax and coloring if you want it but you’ll have more than enough fragrance to last a while and you can reuse all of the other stuff. My daughter and I made these for Christmas gifts for her to hand out and she had so much fun with it too.

I don't know why I was always so nervous to try candle making. This kit is easy. Perfect for beginners novices or candle making experts. I think it's great that it came with all of those different scents essential oils but unfortunately I am a migraine sufferer so I can only use the vanilla. I mainly bought this kit so I can make peppermint scented candles. I really like the way the soy wax smells. The little tins that came for the candles are so beautiful. And I love that you can use them over and over again. All together a great product very glad I chose this one.

Scents were not that strong. Great gift idea and easy starter kit.

Positive first. It is a very complete kit for beginners. It has everything you need to make several small candles in no time at all. Old candles we made came out silky smooth with a very pleasant smell. The issues however are with the instructions. They are extremely limited. Please follow these: each bag of wax can make two small candles. The male point of the wax is 70° c. This is the right time to actually stop melt and add your dye. Wait for wax to cool off few minutes and add your oil. Unfortunately there's no telling how much oil has to be added. I started by adding about dozen drops. Next time around I will be adding more. Make sure to let your candles cure for several days before liking them up.

The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love how simple and easy this product is to use. Super Fun and a great product for beginners. FYI (1) bag of wax will make (2) candles keep that in mind while adding your color and or scents. The video given at the end of images of the product before you purchase gives a better tutorial in my opinion. Bottom line yes I will purchase again

I wish I would of done research more on candle making. First essential oils are worthless in soy wax because it doesn’t stick and dissipates too fast so you can get an amazing scent without being lit but once it’s lit you will never get a scent. Soy wax is very hard to get a hot throw out of and for a beginner’s kit they should of added a different type of wax. Second thing is the wicks, each candle I used tunneled because the wick was not big enough to make the candle wax hot enough to have a nice melt pool, even with using suggestions on the internet like “heat the top layer with a heat gun”, “use foil” etc. good candles should not tunnel and you should not have to go an extra mile to not get it to tunnel. This is a definite must if you want to sell candles but here are a few things I learned from this kit:-jars are no good as they produce too much heat when lit and can hurt when picked up so if you have small children, a curious animal I don’t recommend using these jars-soy wax is incredibly hard to get a hot throw even with using the exact rules on all the candles sites and YouTube videos, this requires so much testing with different jars, wicks and waxes to find out which is going to work, so these essential oils that were included were a waste, use fragrance oil instead. I ended up buying some 12 for 2 fragrance oils off Walmart that produced more hot throw but still had issues because again soy wax is hard to produce a hot throw and takes a lot of work of testing to get a hot throw-wicks just didn’t cut it-color cubes worked fine but again soy wax is finicky so if you stir too much that can mess up a lot too.Tbh if you’re just starting out i recommend still buying a kit but maybe buy an easier wax like paraffin to start out with testing and different wicks as well. I def would not buy this again but it was nice to learn a lot of mistakes with this to advance to different jars, wicks and waxes.
