One Little Lie: Previously published as Where the Grass is Green, the escapist, scandalous page-turning novel from the bestselling author of The Devil Wears Prada

Mothers may sympathize but daughters may be furious.
I liked the simple plot: how Peyton wanted her daughter Max to have great college life. But her one act, which was self-centered in some ways, eventually risked not only Max's life, but also her almost all of her close family's life. For how author described, I felt easy to ready.Enjoyed!

Very disappointing (sorry)
I picked this book on the basis of an intriguing title and interesting blurb (and a cool cover photo I have to admit). I can count on one hand how many books I’ve given up on reading but sadly this will be one of them. I’m now 60% through and the book has been very boring and predictable. In addition only two things happened during this time….I kind of wanted to find out whether someone ends in jail or not but I honestly find reading this such a chore that I’m not going to finish it. I’m sorry Lauren, if you are reading the reviews, I loved the Devil wears Prada but this sadly wasn’t for me.

An ok read …
First book I’ve read by Lauren Weisberger. Don’t really enjoy books about the rich and privileged of the US, but this book was actually about the pitfalls of some of these ambitions, a parent going to extreme lengths to get their child into Princeton University and how this effected adversely on the whole extended family. Found the ending a bit unlikely … without wanting to give the full story away, but written in an easy and entertaining way.

Mainly Annoying
As an English reader who enjoyed other books from this author, I didn't think much of this one at all. It's VERY American, including referencing school systems and practices that are not familiar in the UK and was actually quite boring. I didn't care about the annoying cliched sisters , the perfect husbands, the jewish mother, or the kooky child and the adopted black child. I found it neither "frothy" or "laugh out loud funny". I'm gad I only paid 99p for it and even that was too much.
