USB-C 120W Dock G5 | Expand Ports | Connect Up to Three Displays | Space-Saving Design | Universal compatibility

I recently purchased the HP USB-C 120W Dock G5, and overall, it is a good and decent product. It lives up to its promise of expanding ports and connecting up to three displays, and its space-saving design is a plus. However, there are some important points to consider. Firstly, the item does not support two digital displays simultaneously. When two monitors are connected to the digital display ports, one will work at maximum resolution while the other will have reduced resolution. However, if one monitor is connected via the digital display port and the other via HDMI, both will work at maximum resolution. This limitation should have been mentioned in the description, as it can be a deal-breaker for those who need both monitors to work with digital ports. In my case, my Dell E2216H monitors do not have HDMI ports, making this issue particularly problematic. After some experimentation, I found a workaround. When I swapped the display cables between the ports, both monitors started working at maximum resolution on the digital display ports. This fix worked for me without needing an additional adapter. Overall, the dock works as advertised, but potential buyers should be aware of the display limitations and the need for some trial and error to achieve the desired setup.

Great value for money, tonnes of ports for all I need. I use it every single day for work. It easily supports input from my non HP laptop, and connects to three 4 K screens. To note: the wake button on the dock does not work if you are using a non HP laptop

It works perfectly fine. The problem is making sure your laptop is indeed supportive of this device. My personal device doesn't seem to connect but my work laptop works completely fine on this one. I'll have to buy a USB C type connector for my laptop

This is a fantastic piece of kit that works with any brand of laptop that has a C plug! I had one when I was working and when I retired recently I treated myself to my own. Enables me to run two screens and plug in a multitude of other peripherals like a webcam and headset. Absolutely quality item and well worth the money. Excellent bit of kit. Needed one for the house as well as the one I leave at work to allow me to use mutiple monitors when working from home. The final setup connects through a KVM switch which is exactly what I wanted to do allowing me to keep my work laptop and personal PC separate and managing to run on 3 external screens (4 screens if I'm on the laptop!). The device itself has Display Port and HDMI outputs as well as RJ45 for wired network and several USB-C ports. It does exactly what I need it to do so top marks.

The most unreliable docking station ever created. Better go with DELl. Ready to go from the box. The HP station is designed ONLY for HP devices!
