Good service & a good heater
I had my 75W heater for 4 months and it's been real cold, the heater died, and customer support ask for a video showing the code it was blinking confirmed it was bad, once confirmed they sent out a new one right away. Yes it was not overnight, but in this hobby you have to have least 1 extra heater on hand just in case. And this was just in case. Anyway there customer service was great it's not on phone but at 3am in the morning they were talking back and forth on email within 3 to 5 minutes. Would I buy again yes, I got them in all my tanks.

Wonderful smart design and works great!
I’m really enjoying this heater. My favorite things are its shape and visible digital temp reading. I hate the typical ugly tube heaters. This heater is like the size of a wallet and it can easily sit low in the tank behind some plants or hard scape and be invisible. It does have a digital temp screen on the front so I’d recommend hiding that with something but it’s nice to see when you need it. I like the satisfaction of seeing an actual number instead of a tiny dial. Has been very accurate so far on my 29 gal.. Been using for over a year and I love it!

Lasted less than two months...
This item, as well as the return experience with hygger, were total garbage. I ordered this on February 23rd of 2024, and had to buy a new heater on April 5th of 2024. Meanwhile, as it was still cold in my part of the country, I lost over a dozen fish in my 75 gallon tank when the temperature plunged due to the heater failure. I was expecting that the error systems and warnings would alert me to any issues, but the heater never showed any signs of error, just simply stopped working and lost all power. I only noticed this when double checking my manual thermometer one morning to find the tank temperature at 62 degrees F, and witnessed the carnage in the tank from all the tropical fish who died from temperature shock. Everything else was functioning on the same power strip/surge protector, and after trying multiple outlets on the strip as well as other outlets in my house I know are functional, there was simply no power going to the device. No lights, no sounds, no indication that there was any power flowing through the heater at all. Understanding that sometimes these things just happen, I tried reaching out to hygger support directly, as stated in the manual that came with the heater. However, their response was to demand I send them a video of the device not working. While this may sound trivial, it is terrible customer service, and I refuse to jump through needless hoops when trying to return a defective product. I will not be dealing with hygger support again, and will certainly not be purchasing any of their products in the future. I feel it was an expensive lesson ($47.32), but valuable in the long run. Congratulations, hygger. Your terrible customer service/return experience cost you a customer. Since then, I purchased the: Fluval E 300 Watt Electronic Heater, and have been nothing but pleased with the device. It doesn't look as sleek as the hygger, but totally delivers on functionality.

Excellent heaters!
Excellent and efficient heaters! Quickly got the tanks up to temp and are able to actually hold the set temp very well. I had to get bigger heaters than what they’re rated for, due to my colder house temps. I’m using the 75 watt heaters on tanks from 2.5-5 gallons for Bettas. This has been the only heater that can maintain 78-80° with no lids! Use the tank gallons to watts as a guide. You may need a bigger heater to get the desired temp, like me. Stable and warm temps for tropical fish are very important! Keep them warm 😊

Dead after 9 months ** Seller replaced defective unit **
Good size heater for any size tank. Unfortunately doesn't last long. Bought it in Feb, no longer works in Nov. Unable to get a hold of vendor to get warranty replacement, if any. Amazon is trying to help get a hold of the manufacturer. ** Update ** Seller replaced the unit w/o any obstacle. Great communication during this process.

Great heater
I’m pretty sure this is oversized for my tank as it’s only 20 gallons. Since I have a heater built in to my Oase filter, I can’t adjust it. It just keeps the temperature at 78 degrees. I purchased this to raise the temperature of the tank when I had ICH. It heats my tank to 85 degrees in about an hour. It’s great to see the temperature displayed on the heater. There is also an indicator to let you know when the heater is working and when it’s reached the desired temperature. I like that I can even do water changes without having to unplug it. Once the water level goes just below the top of the heater, it displays ER and flashes letting you know that it has stopped heating. Once the water level goes above the heater, it automatically turns back on. Overall this is a great heater and I highly recommend it

pretty good so far
So, I originally purchased a very expensive aquarium heater when I first set up my 40 gallon tank. It was advertised as one of the very best. Right out of the box, it's performance was unpredictable. I never knew if the temp in my tank was even close to the same, all throughout the day or night. It gave many false readings, and took forever whenever the tank temp actually did go too low, (per readings of my intank mercury thermometer) to return to the setting. So, I took some advise and got this Hygger heater. It is so easy to read (even from across the room). So far, temp has remained with .1 degree in either direction of where I have it set. All the time. Needless to say....for now, I would highly recommend this heater as an excellent buy. Will update if something should change, (but not expecting that to happen) It doesnt require some crazy angle placement in tank...and while water flow is is important....it doesnt require extreme flow. worth every penny

Heats Well and Maintains Temperature, but Short Lifespan
This hygger aquarium heater is okay in terms of overall quality, and it does a good job heating the tank and maintaining a stable temperature. When working properly, it performs exactly as expected and keeps the water consistently warm. The main downside is longevity. I have gone through roughly six of these heaters over time, which suggests they do not have a long service life. While they work well initially, repeated failures make them hard to recommend for long term use, especially for larger or critical aquarium setups.
