I like Element shoes and own one other pair of skater-style sneakers that I'm really happy with. I ordered the Sawyer Sneakers since I don't own any other shoes that look quite like these do. The brown suede paired with the white sole looks great!That said, here are my notes after wearing the Sawyers a few times:→ The Sawyers run a bit narrow. I don't have wide feet and still found these on the snug side. If you do have wide feet, I would avoid these!→ The shoes get warm! I will occasionally wear these to the office, but I noticed that my feet get hot wearing these.→ The Sawyers ship with both brown and black laces. The black laces come installed on the shoes.

Really nice pair of mid-top sneakers from Element. Overall it's a great set in terms of style and comfort with lightweight construction and soft padded (fleece) interior that cradles the feet nicely. Style wise this looks great worn with shorts and a T and just as sharp with jeans/chinos while out and about. The heavy tread outsoles are made from recycled rubber and provide great traction which should be expected considering the skateboard centric focus of the brand.

I was so disappointed when I went to try these shoes on. They run at least a half size smaller than what they say. They are also much more narrow than I expected as well. Other than the size factor, they are very well-made and extremely soft and well padded on the inside. If you order a size larger, or even a half size larger, you may be very happy with these shoes. Just be sure to order them larger than you think you need. These shoes come with two different shoestrings, one is the shoestrings that you see in my photo which match the color of the shoe perfectly, the other shoe strings are black in their flat. I really like the shoes. I wish I could keep them but I had to pass them off to a friend who had a smaller shoe size.

I can't figure out any reason why though I don't think it's a problem.Insole is padded, pretty firm, just not real thick. Decently comfy but on the narrow side, he tells me.They're furry inside so quite toasty. Good winter shoes, if you live somewhere cold but aren't exposed to a lot of road salt and snow. The treat is nicely grippy but not particularly deep so I'm not sure they're be all that great for hiking. Love these shoes! The fit is great, very comfortable, and super durable as well! Love the solid color and the simple style. I would recommend this shoes!
