No-Nonsense Curl Bar That Gets the Job Done – 5 Stars
I’ve had this CAP 47” EZ curl bar for years and it’s still going strong. No rust, no warping, no issues—just a solid piece of equipment that holds up to regular use. For the price, it’s basically unbeatable. You really don’t need to drop triple digits on a premium brand unless you’re outfitting a commercial gym (which I’m definitely not—I just lift in my garage like a normal person).Knurling is decent, sleeves spin well enough, and it fits Olympic plates just fine. I use it for curls, skull crushers, upright rows, and it hasn’t let me down once.Bottom line: it does exactly what you need it to do, for a fraction of the cost of the “fancy” options. If you’re building out a home gym on a budget, this should be one of your first picks.

Great bar, trash collars
The bar is great for the price but the collars are terrible (they are a pain to tighten and even then they don’t really hold much weight. However, if you buy some quick release collars and slap those one, you’re still at a great price point

Just Like at the Gym.
Just like curl bars at the gym. Can confirm it’s very squeaky until you grease it. Wife made me do curls in the garage.

Can't be beat for the price
For the price, I can't complain. It's an olympic bar for 30 bucks. It was used/refurbished and the packaging was incomplete but it's solid steel, it survived the trip. No rust on the locking collars, not that I care cause I am not using them anyway. The bar is strong enough for a lot of weight, provided you space the plates out enough. I found if I put large plates on the inside, they would get in the way of my arms in certain exercises like bench and some curl variations. I had to put my smaller plates on the inside, and larger on the outside to get some more room. The bar is easy to grip and gnurling was fine. I recommend using gloves because the bar is hard on bare hands with a lot of weight. The bearings are smooth and I've had no problems with the bar. I needed something shorter than a full olympic and I don't use a rack, so this was perfect for me.

LOVE this bar
So let me get the only CON out of the way.The knurling on this bar is a joke.I honestly believe grabbing a BARE steel would provide better grip than this. But, since the EZ bar is thinner than a typical barbell, you can still have a good grip around the girth of the bar.Other than that, the bar is great.I am strong enough to do any exercise with a standard olympic barbell, but I specifically got the EZ bar because of the various slanted angles with the grip.I specifically got this for reverse curls (for your forearms), and since the girth of the bar is thinner, you get an easier grip, and can get more reps. Not to mention the angle of the grip makes it easier on your arms.Just lightly clean the bar with a damp rag before use, and it'll get rid of any metal flakes and the odd paint chips here and there. And also, get yourself a proper bar clamp. The ones that come with this bar is not ideal.I already had a set so it was of no concern to me.
