I bought this pack as a trial. I have tried different ones and so far all very tasty. Nice to have on the shelf during hurricane season.&

Delicious! I stumbled across this while looking for shelf stable meats to keep in the pantry. Better tasting and healthier than Spam and sausages. I had it with a little hot sauce and sides of beans and veggies for lunches. You just heat and eat. The shredded pork was so tender and very flavorful. I served it like street tacos (on corn tortillas with chopped onion and chopped cilantro. Even my picky eater eats them. I loved the flavor, perfect for a no time to cook day, just chop some cilantro, onions, have some salsa and tortillas...boom! Delicious tacos in no time!

The real flavor!

These are small packets which are designed for an individual meal. This package contained 6 x different types of meals which could be mixed with an additional item like rice, beans, or a salad. These have a shelf life of less than a year so ensure you check the back of the packages to avoid eating something that has expired. I ate 1 pork and 1 chicken meal. The pork package lacked flavor which required additional sauces to spice the items up. The chicken was moderately good and I use flour-based shells to make a small batch of tacos. These packages may be of value if you wanted to maintain a set of them for emergency use or for individual cooking. They can be cooked using a pan on a stove or a microwave.

These all taste good and couldn't be more convenient. The pouches are microwavable, but they splattered the top of my microwave enough that I would rather put them in a container I can cover to avoid cleanup. Out of the pouch, the meat has a nice texture and a decent flavor. Similar to canned chicken, there is some shelf-stable flavor that is just the cost of convenience. I am still very happy to eat these and the meat is good enough to work with simple carbs sides. I also like the simple ingredients. If I could change one thing, it would simply be to add more spices because they are a little bland out of the pouch.

These pouches of seasoned meats may be easy to prepare, but convenience means little when the flavors are lacking. Each pouch promises a quick meal solution, but it's a solution that leaves much to be desired. Now, onto the flavors—or lack thereof. I had the unfortunate opportunity to sample both the Shredded Pork and Shredded Chicken, and neither left a positive impression. The seasoning, or lack thereof, was underwhelming. These meats were bland and tasteless, making me wonder if there was any seasoning at all. The Chilorio Pork and Chilorio Turkey were equally disappointing. They failed to deliver any noteworthy taste and didn't make for enjoyable sandwiches, tacos, or rice dishes. Instead of savoring a delicious meal, I found myself struggling to find any redeeming qualities.
