Two Stars for the *Extremely Poor Print Quality* with Several Pages' Ingredients Illegible
UPDATED: March 10, 2023After a thorough flipping through the pages, I found additional errors I had missed earlier. Mostly typos, for example "gbee" should be "ghee" [clarified butter]. I don't know what is going on or who is proofreading the master manuscripts from the original 1986 version. These errors and typos SHOULD NOT be part of the "Thorough Revised 2022 Version."I was informed by a representative at Allied Publishing that when US or UK customers order Prashad, the publishing is on-demand by Ingram Content Group (ICG).I purchased my copy from Amazon.com and it was on-demand printed and shipped from one of the ICG Facilities located in Pennsylvania (USA).Ronald N. Tan @ "Tan Can Cook"Vacaville, California, USA--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATED: January 25, 2023I received feedback and reply from another seller (Table Top Art) here on Amazon and turns out their stock of "Prashad-Cooking with Indian Masters (Thoroughly Revised Edition, 2022)" suffers the same printing quality and errors my copy had. I've upload additional images the seller supplied me.I am going to repeat and emphasis that the culprit of this cheap handling and lacking quality assurance falls on the responsibility of the book publisher—Allied Publishers Pvt. Ltd.Jiggs Kalra-ji (Om Shanti) is rolling in his grave, because his legacy and contribution to Indian cuisine is defiled in the cheap printing by Allied Publishers!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I am issuing a BUYER'S BEWARE, because of the extremely poor printing quality from Allied Publishers Pvt. Ltd.I don't know, if my copy was that "bad lemon," but those kind of errors are rampant and random in my copy of the 2022 revised version of the book. The marketplace seller (Nitya Pushta Books International) is superb. I've ordered rare and hard to source Indian cooking books here in the USA. It is not their fault, rather the PUBLISHER (Allied Publishers Pvt. Ltd). This is the second book from Allied Publishers Pvt. Ltd that I had to return-for-refund due to their poor printing quality. The other book I've returned-for-refund is Jiggs Kalra-ji's "Classic Cooking of Rajasthan (Cuisine of Kotah)." It's from the same publishers.I am saddened, because the author Jiggs Kalra-ji (Om Shanti...he is no longer with the world) legacy of cooking is tainted by bad and poor printing of the publisher.Buyer Beware. Your copy may be perfect or your copy will be a bad lemon with poor printing like mine. You've been warned.

Its not a book about recipes of Temple Offerings
Please don’t be fooled by the name, like I was! I thought this was a book about all the “prasadams” or offerings to Gods in temples etc.NOPE. Imagine my shock when I saw that more than 90% of the recipes were non vegetarian.Wish they’d thought of a better nameThe pages and print quality are also very poor. I had to return it, which was a whole hassle by itself.

Colourless greyscale photos
A lacklustre reprint of the original hardback book. Photographs are black and white - no colour to be seen. Such a shame because the original prints of this book have full-colour photographs which are nice.Having checked a few of my favourite recipes I can't say I notice any major revisions. In addition to the mistakes mentioned by another review ("gbee" vs "ghee" etc.) I have noticed other minor issues like "vetiver" being spelled "vetivier" which is an error present way back in the 1980s editions of the book!
