Q: Is the bottom completely flat an level?

NO!. There is an inset - depression of 7 1/4" x 10" x 1/32" on both lids. If you lay it flat on a surface, you will see that the box is elevated 1/32" from surface. It's probably used to ensure strength of plastic.

Q: Where is this product made?

When I was opening the box several months ago. Think it was China. I don’t use my anymore because the lid comes off the hinges.

The inner dimensions (hinge to hinge on the width) are 8 1/2" wide x 11 7/8" tall
