Q: Do you need to rinse this black sand before you put it into the tank?

yes it really is great stuff but it really needs rinsing before hand!!!

Q: Will this sand move around easily with a strong water flow?

It depends on whether your filter hangs on the tank or it close to the bottom. I have 2 hanging filters on my 20 gal long and it doesn't budge the sand. I keep my tank full.

Q: Does it get stuck to the magnet glass cleaner? Or simply put is it magnetic?

It’s not magnetic, but it is fine sand & a mag cleaner could easily catch & drag a few grains if you get close to the sand bed.

Q: my tank is already setup. will the sand go to the bottom or do I have to empty my tank?

The sand will sink. Rinse it first. I didn't have hardly any residue, but it's recommended that all aquarium substrate materials be rinsed. Good Luck!
