I really wanted this remote to work. Nice layout, and ergonomic. The mohawk wheels are a great idea. Unfortunately I could not get it to program more than 8 buttons (vol up/d, power, OK,rt/lt/up/d). Some of the buttons that did program took 4 or 5 tries to take, which is fine. But after the 8 I could not get any more to program, and yes I tried 20-30 times. Original remote is a newer Sony (RMF-TX200U).

I'm in my early forties and TV was our "tablet" and "smart phones" from the seventies up to the nineties. Nowadays I access news and entertainment thru my iPhone. But lately, due to fake news and too much clutter on the internet, I started being glued to my TV for most of the information (news, Velocity, Discovery Channel, Nationals Geographic, Bloomberg, etc.) and entertainment I want ( storage wars, fixer upper, HBO, food network, etc.). Moving from different channels to another is made with ease through this very cool innovation (xcrool). My wrist and fingers, with its hundreds of bones and ligaments, could feel how this remote takes away the pressure from them. The design and color also help me find my remote easier. The wheel for moving channels and volume is my favorite part of xcrool. I also like setting and updating the buttons to my own liking. TV is definitely here to stay and I'm glad there is a remote that helps me make watching enjoyable.

Not a replacement universal for a lost remote. It copies your current remote signals. Using it instead in my bedroom. Great when you only need to change channels or adjust volume. Has square edges and is simple to grip.

This did not work. It was impossible to get it to learn the volume. Ended up getting another brand.

instructions were unclear and I have not been able to get either of the two remotes to work. Completely disappointed.

Bought this for my elderly grandmother. The big scroll wheels really helped her as her fingers had an easier time using them versus tiny buttons. Build quality is great considering the price, does not feel cheap at all. The instructions were simple enough and getting it to work took only a few minutes of programming. I would buy this again for an elderly person as a gift as it is quite effective in in making channel surfing easier for them.

Some of the placements of buttons are confusing and not helpful. The bright colors are great, and the programmability was amazing.
