It's a very big bottle so I would not recommend carrying it around with you, it's pretty heavy when it's filled with water and a bit cumbersome when empty. It isn't the sort of thing that will fit in cup holders. I leave mine at my desk at work and sip out of it all day. I can drink the entire bottle before leaving work if I start sipping around eight in the morning so I don't have to carry it back and forth. If I don't finish it I take a picture of where I left off and I pick up where I left off at home. I don't carry it to and from. It's helpful to have the times on the side of the bottle, it helps you to see that it is doable to drink a half gallon in a day. If you can drink two you of these bottles that should be about a gallon. I have one at work and one at home.

I had to buy two of these after I lost the first one. First one was perfect. The second one, the hour markers are rubbing off and the snap to keep the lid down broke off. Still great but wish I had the quality of the first one with my second.
