Great product and easy install
My chimney sweep suggested these to me. According to him, these are much better than the other types of top-sealing dampers. I bought two for my chimney, as I have two flues, and installed them with no problem. It was very simple and these seem to work beautifully. I highly recommend them. Can't wait to see how much they're going to save me on the heating bill this winter.

Expect some failure but usable without the heat fuse link and gasket.
Product received shortly after ordered. Little issue with installation. The safety heat link failed after 2nd small fire as well as the sealing rubber gasket coming loose. Contacted the manufacturer company for replacement parts and they do not sell to the public advising I would have to deal with Amazon.

Poor quality
Failed in the open position after only one season of limited use. I tried to close it after a fire and when I pulled the chain handle a piece of the dampener came falling down the chimney.
