Check your intended mounting point with another magnet first!
This mount works quite well: it holds very tightly to most car panels, and if you get 2 you can use them together to mount your camera to non-magnetic surfaces like glass. One surprise for me came when I placed it on the hood of my Jeep Grand Cherokee only to find it didn't stick: aluminum hood! Fortunately I had not intended to mount anything there anyway, and since I have two I still could if I really wanted to.(They mention this in the Q&A above, but since people always jump to the reviews I thought I would mention it here as well and possibly save someone some frustration; test with another magnet before ordering!)The holding force is very strong, without being impossible to remove, and the rubberized coating is easy on your car's finish. Just brush it off and make sure there isn't any sand stuck to it before mounting and you'll be fine.In my (extremely) informal testing, it took about 10 pounds of lateral force to dislodge one of these mounted to the slightly curved panel just above the windshield using only the mount that comes with it.So if you attach a mount that is twice as long, it will take only 5 pounds of pressure to dislodge (because of the additional leverage). So use the shortest mount possible for high speeds and use a taller mount only for slower speeds, and in both cases try to find the flattest panel possible to attach it to.Lastly, it works well to put it on the same way you take it off: start by touching the rim of the magnetic disk at an angle to the surface, then set it down flat. Do the same steps in reverse to remove.

Magnetic Post is Heavy Duty and Sturdy.
I purchased this Magnetic Post for my Insta360x4 camera to apply onto a vehicle. The magnetic base is very strong and is sturdy enough to attach to a 2 person dune buggy, while driving in the rain. No rusting and no issues of it falling off. As you see from my pictures, I had to buy & add an additional attachment in order to rotate and tilt the insta360x4 camera. This is a good addition to use for filming on a vehicle, as the magnetic is much stronger than the suction cup attachment. The layer of foam across the bottom magnetic base deters the device from taking off any paint and causing any dents or scratches. I would definately recommend this accessory. However; word to the wise... the Insta camera company and website are horrendous to deal deal with, I wish I would've bought the GoPro because if you have ANY issue with the insta camera or accessory, the company will give you a VERY hard time replacing or fixing anything. Also the insta360x4 camera is bulky and isn't the easiest having to connect different pieces to it, so keep that in mind. The only thing I would change about this product is having a ball joint at the end of the post to rotate and tilt the camera to get good view points.

Insta360 One Rs 1 Inch
The media could not be loaded. Works well with my insta360 Ones Rs 1 inch. I was a little nervous at first driving around with my 800 dollar camera on the front of my car, but after much testing I found the mount to hold tight.
