A well-written, clearly explained manual !
I've had my D 7500 for about a year, and purchased the "Dummies" manual for it, (A very good book) and used it and the factory manual to become fairly well acquainted with my D 7500, but there was always the niggling thought "There's got to be more." In the first two chapters of Busch's book, I discovered how to use the touch screen feature and interpret two menu items regarding the on-board flash, which I had tried to understand, referring to the other two books, but with little success. I had almost figured it out on my own, and Busch's manual removed any doubt. I was right!Well-written, clear, and to the point. It looks like it has about as many pages as the factory manual, which is fine with me. By the time I have finished studying it, I will have learned a lot. Worthwhile, If you want to unlock the mysteries of your D 7500, and he makes recommendations regarding equipment, which may be useful.A worthwhile purchase!

Knowegeable first rate author
I have more than one of David D.Busch's books on Photography and refer to them often, they have been a big help in my pursuit of digital Photography, always relevant and timely information I rely on. More than one can find in a Nikon Manual. I can recommend him and his books without reservation.

fantastic book. even if you KNOW DSLR's, you want this book
I am still reading thru it.. it is a MUST read for a camera of the level of quality and complexity of the D7500while it isnt a straight up Pro level camera, it can certainly act like one, for the most part. There arent a lot of features and abilities lacking in this camera, really, and you need to KNOW those features and abilities, and how to find them, adjust them, tweak them, so you can take FULL advantage of this great camera.David Busch's writing is well thought out, lots of photos and diagrams that point out EXACTLY what he is talking about.only a handful of times am I kind of scratching my head, and its usually because I forgot something from a previous chapter, that already told me where to do " this", or activate "that"..all the abilities and how to make them do what you want the camera to do, are in this book.forget the manual ( if you even got one ). THIS.. is the manual.. there are other books, trimmed down ones, but, i would simply get this one, you wont need any others..and its actually an enjoyable read, the Author takes you on a guided Tour of the inner workings of the D7500, doesnt talk down to you, assumes you have at least a basic level of camera knowledge ( you shouldnt be using THIS camera as your beginners camera anyway ), and keeps descriptions brief as possible, while explaining things in plenty of detail at the same time.

Content great but binding terrible-Updated 7/9
The content is informative, plenty of information that is well documented with pictures. Problem is after opening the book, the pages glued to the binding came unglued so having to tape them together in order not to lose any pages.I contacted the printing company and they immediately responded with apologies and are sending a new copy. With that kind of responsive customer service when looking for photo related publications they will be my go to publisher. Highly recommend them.

Busch is gifted at organizing and explaining
More frequently than not people who write books attempting to organize and explain thousands of bits of data fall short. Not only are their tomes tedious to follow, but readers ultimately get frustrated, give up, pull out a few tidbits and put the books away forever. This book is different. Kudos to Busch. I see why he is so popular!First, he does not talk down to the reader.Second, he manages to arrange information in a way that can be almost conversationally presented.Third, while that approach might make it impossible to nail down where in the 500 pages you’ll find exactly what you want to know, Busch manages to organize data in topic areas that are intuitive and he seem to anticipate your questions and inquiries.Great explations of complex topics will make them so clear that you will wonder why you didn’t understand in the first place. And no, you don’t have to read the book in order, or even all of it. I suspect almost everyone can find enough to more than make the price of the book worthwhile. I am convinced the book is more than worth its weight in gold. I will keep it on hand as a reference tool. One suggestion for improvement: upgrade the index to be more comprehensive. In summary, you will never regret choosing this book from the gazillion on the same topic. It outshines the masses in almost every way.

Get the most out of your camera!
This book is critical to understanding the D7500. I read the manual that was included with the camera. It provided clear explanations of how to do things with the camera. This book provides clear explanations of why you do things with your camera. The writing style is straight forward, friendly, and fun to read. You can appreciate his great expertise because he explains everything so simply. He provides enough technical information to help you understand how your camera is working, but not so much that you are bored. The pictures he includes illustrate each explanation. He even provides interesting information from a historical perspective, bridging the gap between film and digital, and dispelling myths about digital photography in general. An experienced photographer can extract useful information and a novice photographer can understand his writing. If you are purchasing an expensive D7500 camera, consider adding this book to your camera gear. You will appreciate your camera more with this author's guidance. It will save you frustrating moments wondering why your camera is doing what it is doing.
