I was quite amazed by how this kept fresh in my fridge when I left it for several days!! Other brands just go off and get slime not this. Even better when I did cook it it was full of flavour really exceptional! It is also great value

I know that the British asparagus season is how done, but I ordered this right in the middle of the season. The pictured packaging says they are British and the description stated that they were British as well. I am a true believer in buying vegetables in season and grown locally, you'll be amazed at how much better the quality is and you won't be contributing to global warming by having air miles attached to the veg you consume. Unfortunately the asparagus I received wasn't British it was from Peru. This means they were picked before being fully ripe and then flown on a jet to the UK. What I got were woody sticks with no flavour. The only way I knew I had eaten asparagus and not sticks came around a few hours later when I encountered that familiar amonia odour. I will not be buying this again.
